Sweet Ness At The Sea

Boat Harbour is a jewel in Tasmania's crown. A beautiful spot & delightful restaurant. "Boat Harbour is like driving into the Caribbean" says the Lonely Planet travel guide. Sweet ness at the sea is a delightfully decorated, scenic, seaside restaurant with a fantastic, creative menu & ingenious chef. The serves are very generous as well. The sweets are to die for. Well worth the drive.

It was no accident that we lunched at this place, we'd been directed here by an article in the Guardian which listed it as a place to visit whilst in the area. As many others have said below, it doesn't disappoint. The squid salad (pictured) and the lime prawns were both delicious and reasonably priced. The place is a draw for visitors and locals alike so if you plan on visiting on a Saturday lunchtime like us then get there promptly at 12 before the masses arrive!

We went to Sweetness for the first time on Friday night and it was incredible. The service was great, the food was delicious and of course, the location was breathtaking. Could not fault. The menu is so varied and reasonably priced for the portion size. 10/10 would recommend.

We happily drive from Burnie to Boat Harbour to have lunch at this amazing cafe. The staff are always bubbly and friendly and the view of the beach and surrounding rocky areas is absolutely stunning. Last visit, we ordered the calamari. The portion size is absolutely massive and cooked so well! No boot leather squid there!!! The salad was nice and fresh and the chips are AMAZING. The prices are more than fair for the amount of food on your plate!!!

We had the cafe to ourselves in Boat Harbour. Sitting outside soaking up the stunning views.Excellent customer service from Nizar. He topped up my hot chocolate and my partners milkshake after we commented how good they were. Fish and Chips were delicious. Highly recommend Sweet Ness at the Sea

One is the best coffee in the area. A great start to a Sunday. The food is amazing and the view is to die for. The squicky sand is perfect to walk off a great breakfast to come and then come back for lunch.

Great breakfast menu at a beautiful location. Yeah out of the way a little but well worth the trip. Vanessa produces beautiful cakes and is real friendly. Highly recommended.

Lunch for 3 adults and two young children today. Fantastic and timely service, amazing food and value for money. Well worth a visit and the view is priceless too!

A quiet busy cafe by the sea at boat harbour. Amazing variety on the menu for lunch. Child friendly and children's menu. Would I go again?? In a heartbeat.
