Dumpling King

Great place for traditional Chinese. Dumplings were amazing, Peking duck pancakes, crispy beef and lemon chicken were all on point.

Can’t count how many times we’ve come back here for their delicious Peking Duck and pork dumplings! S&P calamari and fried rice/noodles dishes are also our go-to. The staff are always so lovely and attentive which is a huge plus☺ (you don’t get that often from Chinese restaurants lol)

Bloody delicious. I forgot to take these pics when the food arrived as I was starving. The wonton spicy soup was incredible. Packed with so much flavour, not just chilli. Green beans with pork some of the best I've ever had, not greasy like most do. Pan fried pork dumplings solid. Super quick attentive service. Very well priced.

Been coming here for around 10 years now.
The food has always been great and the service very good. The previous manager Yong (who passed away R.I.P.) and his wife Shelly were fantastic. This has been continued by the current management especially Jin. Staff come and go as you would expect with uni students, but we have always been looked after , brought many friends and family and have enjoyed our food especially the pan fried dumplings and the Mongolian beef...yum..

My partner is a bit picky about food. However, he enjoyed our dinner there. The staff were very attentive and considerate. When told that my partner was still half an hour away as I was ordering, the lady suggested an ideal time to serve our food.

Whilst finding free parking can be tricky, (consider parking near Centrelink), the food certainly makes up for it. Prices are not expensive as the portion is sufficient to be shared by two. The signature dishes here would be the Peking duck and the dumplings. The dumplings weren't the best I've tried but were still tasty nonetheless. Further more it's really cheap. You can also share a pot of tea for less than $2.

Great variety of food that tastes perhaps as good if not better than what we've eaten back in China and Singapore. Excellent friendly warm and welcoming atmosphere, and a great experience all around. No issues with this location.

All we ordered was great, abundant, tasty. This is my new favorite dumpling spot in box hill.

We had prawn, fried chicken, mix dumpling.
All of them are delicious.
They began to serve us after we had ordered 10mins.
Polite staff and nice space.

Went for the Sunday lunch special. Duck pancake party and dumpling special. Was delicious.

Loved the warm and friendly feel .. lucky for them we didn’t stay for hours. But just such a nice experience.

I'd been here previously with a friend & wanted to show my family the great food they served here. What we experienced that evening was a banquet of supremely high-quality food (!). Having eaten out very often...even my family & I were surprised at how special these dishes could be. Tiny details such as the Peking Duck (chunky servings of roasted duck served with expertly thin pancakes kept warm in a bamboo basket with candle light), homemade sauces, duck fat fried shallot pancakes/pastries & hearty hot & sour soup, you get the picture of how special this family-run business truly is. A special place for exquisite Chinese food! :)

I had been craving Shanghai dumplings for days now so went to Dumpling King. Needless to say that the dumplings were on point. The broth was sublime, the dumplings, piping hot and delicious. I pretty much inhaled 10 dumplings, they were so good! Inspite of the restaurant being full we were served our food on time. Excellent value for your money. One of my favourite places for comfort food! 5 stars!

I have been there quite a few times and never disappointed. Whichever dishes I have tried till now have met our expectations each time. Our favourites are General Tso's Chicken and Chicken dumplings in spicy soup.

Just ate here for the first time and it was 10/10. The food was delicious with generous portions and such nice staff. The vegetarian menu has plenty of different options - we had the kung pao tofu chicken, the fried rice and some dumplings. Cant wait to come back already!

Delicious food. Hargow and Peking duck were excellent. The staff were really nice and friendly too. Will definitely visit again!
