I got the beef and black bean. And the prawn special fried rice. The best I have ever tasted. That's all I have tried but hope the rest of the food is as good.

Been going here for 25 years, the best dim sims you’ll ever have.
Amazing people who run the shop also, so friendly!

Have been going there since the seventies, great food, dim Sims are gorgeous and if you get a spring roll it's a whole meal 🍜 yum 🤤

Been getting our "Chinese" here for more than 20 years, it's not expensive Gourmet stuff just your basic local.
But as such it's exactly what we're after.
Their fried dimsims are so big they are a meal on their own.
Currently they are only take away, but are very quick and very popular.

The best fried rice, full of fresh shrimp, pork and it's actually fried not boiled. Very tasty and generous serving of satay chicken with huge pieces of chicken. The home made spring roll is huge and delicious. So glad this place is still operating after covid shut down.

Love eating here, whether takeaway or dining in. The staff are very respectful and thankful for your business. The food is of exceptional quality. Items such as the fried rice have a lot of ingredients in them and their large spring rolls are massive and worth coming here for alone, and I haven't had a dud dish yet in the 8 years I have been there. Very reasonably priced for the quality of food you receive.
A favourite of Ferntree Gully locals, this is well worth travelling from nearby suburbs for. Give them a try, I guarantee you won't be disappointed and will return time and again.

Incredible food. I've never been dissatisfied. The spring rolls are like rolled up newspapers - massive, but delicious (seriously, they are almost a complete meal on their own). The special fried rice is extremely well endowed with sliced pork, large prawns, it is very generous. Good dishes include the beef black bean, S&S pork, honey chicken and Tofu with garlic & veg. Don't expect the quality of food to match the decor if you decide to eat in, as it isn't great but the people are all very friendly! The great food wouldn't be as cheap as it is though if they spent all their profits on flash restaurant decor! So it's perfect for takeaway - and this is what most people who visit do.

Bigger than you could imagine, 'mega' spring roll; a meal in itself. Special fried rice very nice, spring onion with mix would be perfect, but still a 9.5.
Greet with smile, so you feel welcome.
The place to take my family and they will accommodate changes to you dish to your liking, no problems. recommended by me.

Great food for a low price. Try the extra large special fried rice. Very big with lots of ingredients. Home made dim sims are good and so is the enormous spring roll!

There is a photo of myself eating food from the Loi Eng Restaurant whilst sitting in my highchair! That was over 34 years ago!
It’s still my one and only go to Chinese take away place. Food taste is amazing, it’s hot and made precisely to order.
I’ve tried the entire menu over the years but the lemon chicken, beef and black bean, plain fried rice and dim sims are OUT OF THIS WORLD yum! Thank you for the memories and food that the other half and all 3 of my own children enjoy now too.

What a great place to stop and pick up a great take away dinner. The extra large special fried rice is massive and so delicious. The curried chicken is perfect.
The people behind the counter are always friendly.
There's always plenty of car parking places just outside the restaurant.

Best Chinese food in the area by far. Here's a hint as well, just order ONE spring roll. They're HUGE.
Tonight was very good as expexted. They were very busy both with pickup orders and in the seated restaurant. I had phoned my order through and waited a bit with some other jovial locals. On top of my order there was also complimentary chicken & sweet corn soup x2, prawn crackers and soft drink (I ordered over $70 worth).
One very satisfied family here!!

I had an interupted train trip to Belgrave and decided takeaway while I was waiting for my daughter to pick me up in Ferntree gully was a good idea. Crossed the road to Loi Eng !!! Best find EVER !! Honestly the best Chinese food I have ever eaten and a really decent serve. Took exactly the time I was given and it was amazing 💯

Love the food, adore the staff. Our young girls call it the Pink Lady resteraunt in honour of the Pink shirts that were a standard uniform when we first took them.
From our engagement dinner to external catering or just a quick takeaway of their mega famous Dim Sims, they always deliver.
The girls send hugs for ALL the staff.

Heard about the Spring Rolls, so I went today for lunch, they are humongous and delicious, next time I’ll have to order the Dim Sims. Pity you are not over Beaconsfield way 😄 but anyway we’ll worth the trip over, might also try Fried Crispy Skin Chicken next time 👍
