Beautiful walk to the falls and crater. Not a long walk either! Definitely worth it! 👍🙂
Before starting the walk there's plenty of room for parking, some under a tree to provide shade if needed, and there's a sheltered table and bench in the moderately sized grassed area and there are toilets opposite the seating area.No bins. No animals permitted sign at the entrance due to being a national park.

A beautiful place to visit when on the Tablelands. View the amazing crater, swim in the pools of the Barron River and keep your eyes open for a cassowary. Wheelchair friendly, peaceful and pristine. Only 20 minutes out of Atherton. Public toilets are available too.

Awesome, don't dismiss this place. Make sure you visit and take the short walk around the lake. Just lovely.

An easy walk through the beautiful rainforest, then opening up onto a platform over this steep, deep, large hole in the rock. Waterfilled and a little nervewracking, it's a stunning and fascinating place. A further walk along a bush path brings you to the waterfalls. They are not tall, more stepped, but pretty. It's a rocky walk down to the water. This is the beginning of the Barron River... wow

Beautiful daintree rainforest walk
Cauliflory is interesting
Didn’t see any cassowary though

Mount Hypipamee Crater walk and Dinner Falls were amazing.

Dinner Falls had the most amazing set of waterfalls we saw so far. Must be at least 6-7 cascading waterfalls one after the other on the same river.

This is my favourite place to see wildlife. We often come here on sunset and go for a walk through the forest to the falls and go for a swim there. It’s a small swimming area for quite private and usually we are the only ones there. After dark we see many kinds of possums and even a tree kangaroo.

We were in a bit of a rush, so we did not take the circuit. But the crater is absolutely amazing and we will definitely go back, anyway.

The Dinner falls at the national park has multiple levels with a different view of the falls at each level. Perfect for bird watching. The crater lake here is a hidden gem! Some unique vegetation around as well. There are signs to watch out for a cassowary, none crossed my path.

A nice picnic area with tables.
There is a walking track to go see a large, deep crater and to see a waterfall. In summer it looks like it would be nice to have a swim by the waterfall.
There are toilets.

Alas no hippos or horses to be found here and I'm sure you aren't allowed to bring them in either (National Park and all)...

What can be found here are beautiful waterfalls and a very interesting geological anomaly. There are three waterfalls in a row of varying heights, a comfortable five minute walk from the carpark. The lowest falls have a nice concreted dam for your convenience. The geological anomaly is just a further five minutes down a user-friendly path with a lookout at the end of it, and an information board to slake your curiosity.
Ample parking and toilets and a few picnic tables to boot. A great little spot for swimming, relaxing, learning, and winding down!

Nice little spot close to highway and the crater and waterfalls are within 500m of the car park so easy walk for all energy levels.

The falls here are good with a decent walk down and back up where you have to watch your footing for roots and rocks. The crater is also excellent.

Awesome crater lake and waterfalls along a 2km Return track... Walk to the fork in the track and go right towards Dinner Falls and continue on that track back up to the Mt Hypipamee Crater and the rest of the walk back is relatively easy and flat.... One of the most beautiful places I have seen in the Tablelands of Atherton

Was eerie to walk around here at nighttime as a teenager for my Biology excursion, lol
I'd forgotten what a great swimming area Dinner Falls is. It's cool to hear the echo around the Crater when an overhanging branch falls in.

Awesome to see the crater and the sheer drop. The series of waterfalls was also spectacular

Beautiful little Bush walk with some lovely sights and peaceful sounds along the way. Some trails are quite rocky, so my suggestion is comfy closed in shoes. Def worth a stop and wander to see the crater lake and waterfall.

Very cool place. Make sure you add this to your stops. Crater and falls both worth it, and not much if a walk to get to it.
