Super spot close to the amazing beach. The gaol was very interesting to visit.

Campgrounds have friendly kangaroos jumping around and we got visited by a very cocky kookaburra.

Friendly staff and stunning location. Good camp kitchen and excellent amenities, with timed showers. Well maintained grounds, especially considering how popular it is.
Outstanding location. Well done NPWS.
Just take care with any food as the Kangaroos are VERY bold.

We came with our Mobil home. Beautiful beach and great walkings around. It’s also a kangaroo territory. Quite impressive males.
Campground staff is very friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast at the Restaurant. Also a favourite surfing place. We’ve managed to stay a day longer right at the beach front. Lovely place!

A beautiful location for a camping ground.
Mostly sheltered from strong ocean winds.
A very safe swimming beach.
There are a few awesome sites facing west on the water. To catch the beautiful sunset.
Kangaroos come out in the evening to hang on the beach.
Low tide you can ride your bike to town along the hard sand.

This place is spectacular! Definite campground highlight. If you can book the bayside camps - for an extra $10 per night you sleep overlooking the ocean with unimpeded views, little tracks down to the shallow bay for swimming at your doorstep, fresh water taps.
Also warm showers, good kitchen facilities and kiosk / waste disposal area. Wish we had more time to stay here.
The kangaroos weren’t a problem when we were here either, a bonus!

We just stayed at South West Rocks for a week at Trial Bay Gaol. We had to extend our stay due to our car breaking down. So obviously we had to book the campground longer and we can't say enough about the help and support we received from Michelle & Nellie in the office they were so helpful in helping us stay longer and sorting out our next booking at woody head. We are so grateful girls thankyou so much.

Absolutely beautiful part of this great country. Clean camp ground and amenities along with very accommodating staff. Reasonably priced at $35 p/n right on the beach (non powered site but with access to potable water) or $45 for a powered site.

This view truely speaks for itself. The amenities are also wonderful but the entry door to go into the bathroom doors were your meant to add in a code, don’t actually lock and need to be fixed.
Not pet friendly as it’s a national park and no pets are allowed in any national park!

This place is amazing. Trial Bay Gaol is great to visit. Great place to swim. Walking trails. Great facilities. Pricey for a National park but worth it. (For those that need it there is a dump point for toilet waste.)
South West Rocks is a 4km drive. There is a Coles if you need groceries.

Family friendly, good place to chill. We stayed off-peak, mid week. Other campers were scattered about. Watching the kangaroos was fun, but a couple were super nosy - under our awning checking out our stuff while we were sitting there! Very cute. Amenities were clean and close by. Well worth checking out the Gaol, cafe kiosk and the local bush walking tracks. Easy whale watching on the ocean side.

I camped here for a few nights. I was kayak fishing most days. The water is stunningly clear and beautiful. The camp kitchen and toilets were very clean and were perfect after a long day on the kayak.
Reception was great and the local Parks and Wildlife people were only to happy to help and chat.
Watch out for Kangaroo's breaking into your tent camper or caravan. Also don't pee near your spot as the males see this a threat and/or start marking their territory on your tent camper or caravan. So use the toilets. Also note the kangaroo poo everywhere so wear shoes.
The beach is amazing for families and the fishing is absolutely amazing. The bush walks are beautiful. you can wake up watching the sunrise and watch the sunset over the town. one of the most beautiful spots in Australia.

I spent a few weeks here! It has clean amenities and amazing views.
They have plenty of powered and non powered sites. Be warned, though. Do not feed the roos.

Sensational location right by the beach.
Native kangaroos live naturally in the campgrounds as well as Kookaburras.
Beautiful beach and views.
Good clean amenities.

Best camp spot I have ever been to. Beautiful beach, safe and showers are gold coin operated. Get a beach camp site by the water and you’re set for a good time. Pays to book early. Can stay quite hot at night so make sure you have some cold drinks

This facility & campsite has got to be one of the Top 10 beachfront campsites in the whole country! What an absolute gem. If you can spare a few extra bucks, a beachfront site is the place to be. A totally wonderful location for us full time vanlifers to visit!
