Smelter Site

Was not expecting this to be so interesting, but it was. The info boards are worth the read to explain the processes they used. The slag (copper mining by product) makes amazing floor tiles as shown and even though the buildings have been dismantled the flooring remains as does the remains of the mining process. They have presented this well and it is well worth the bisit

Great spot to learn a little about the local history. Smelter site had lots of interesting rocks about. Great if you're a rockhound.

I enjoyed walking around and looking at the sites, plenty of information you can read, worth talking a walk around the trail to see the history around town in My Perry, friendly people, we stop into the men's shed and had a look at the tram they are restoring

Interesting back story

This is interesting, though not much is left of the original smelter. Still interesting to see the floor and the slag and read the information in the shelter on the slab.

My rock obsessed child loved this place. She took home quite a collection of treasures. It is an interesting place to visit but don’t plan on spending too long there.

Overgrown vegetation little to no signage.
Shelter shed in middle with vandalism and hard to read anything.
Been twice before.
