I agree, this a must visit location in Albury with the Services Memorial at its centre.
The memorial is well maintained and is a great location to look over Albury.
You can drive right to the top and enjoy the view or get some exercise done on one of the many trails around the hill.
There’s a milk bar on the way up to the summit to enjoy.

Visited the Albury War Memorial up at Monument Hill in the afternoon, very warm there no shade at the Memorial or in the car parking area. It's a fitting Memorial to honour those who served our country, with lovely Hilltop views over Albury and surrounding areas. Has a toilet and car parks. Very well maintained with recent works in the area, you are able to drive there (a bit steep) or walk there using the paths which are well maintained. The Monument is visible from Albury also which is very nice and makes it easy to locate from the town. If you are in Albury it's a recommended visit and easy to get to.

A very peaceful, well kept and beautiful location, with some stunning views over Albury. An absolute must to visit when in the area, and especially good during sunset or sunrise. Parking is all around the monument in the centre, and there's views from all directions around the central monument, with a few steps leading down. Toilet facilities at the top of the hill too, and a wonderful place to visit.

What a great tribute to our soldiers past and present.
The whole site was clean as a whistle and had a view to match the scale of the monument itself. If you have time go and see it in the night time as well.

Nice view over Albury at the war memorial lookout. Clean and well kept gardens. If you are looking for a short but strenuous climb start down the bottom on Dean Street and take the path up.

Feel very nice and gratitude towards our war heroes most of them were between the 18-30 years old at that time.

The Monument Hill War Memorial sits a top of the hill at the western end of Albury’s main street providing stunning views of the city and surrounding region.

Designed by architect Louis Harrison, the monument was unveiled on Anzac Day in 1925 in dedication of the men and women who served in World War l.

“… The night was perfect – clear weather and no moon. The crowd gathered at the junction of Dean, Thurgoona and Garden Streets. The main speaker was General John Jackson Paine who switched off the street lighting. A bugler, half way up the hill played the last post in the darkness and, as the sound died away, a hidden electrician brought the lights on slowly and the Memorial came into view, high above the crowd floating on air. It was a solemn and inspiring sight.”

A short distance below the Monument is a Memorial Bowl to honour the men and women who served in World War ll.

As an ex Digger and having been born in Albury, I just love this memorial. My parents, as members of Lions, were involved with it's restoration some years ago.
