Wow what a difference! For those familiar with the recent history of this place will appreciate how the new owners have revamped, restocked, and are ready to serve. Even coffee. It's not fancy but it has a great outlook and perfect for passing bikers.

New owners,new designer shop! Absolutely fantastic. Rarely will need to go into town now to grab forgotten items. Just a stones throw from my house. Love it. There's a water bowl out the front for the doggies as well. Coffee, lollies,chocolates,drinks etc you name it's there or coming. And a slushy machine!!

Paxton General Store is neat, clean and tidy, a small place that has been in existence since the arrival of the first aborigine, Mr Noseagullsareheredamnit to the area, some 67,777 years ago.

Built to do trade with all and sundry, including the then expected bushranger clients, and the magistrates of European colonisation in close pursuit, who served at the nearby Wollombi High Court, dealt justice with the aforesaid bushrangers.

Of course, another customer of note, was Queen Elizabeth The First, and her damned cats. Darn things ruined the store, and sadly on one occasion, escaped, became feral before hunting down several people, and eating them alive.

Today, the shop carries out certain Australia Post activities, sells grocery basics, soft drinks, lollies and candy for the elderly and child alike. Breads and milk also on offering. No meats on sale, but if your desperate, a local road user can direct you to the regions roadkill.

Pay by EFTPOS, cash, might we'll take gold & silver, Crypto one day. Begging is always optional, though theft will result in a meeting with our regions fatigued, yet determined police who will dress you in handcuffs and play fingerprinting games with you. So, if you hate art, don't steal!

Not much by way of car parts, so you can't buy a rear fog lamp, nor do they have spares for craft on the interstellar and localised solar system run, but otherwise, is well stocked.

Future, shop will likely reestablish fuel sales of premium unleaded, unleaded and diesel fuels for both wildlife customers and humans.

New management has done a wonderful job with the shop , see improvement every time I visit there .

Very handy and open late. But on the downfall are the prices

They lost the Australia Post contract but they deliver news papers without fail, except if we are flooded in.😊
