This is my go-to for a Sydney retreat! An amazing backyard to explore that overlooks the Grand Canyon, and the perfect location to set out on the full 3-4 hour hike (which is absolutely magical).

Love what Manda and Julie have done to the cabins... So much so we picked up some of the art/prints to take home ourselves. Misty mornings and starry nights - just the best!

We were absolutely delighted with Rough Track Cabins. The location is fantastic for bush walking- we didn’t need a car to access all our favourite walks. The cabins are lovely- filled with wonderful textile art, poetry, reading material and retro pieces. There is such a thoughtful attention to detail: the knives in the kitchen are sharp, the lighting is gentle and cosy, there is wood in the woodbox and leaf tea in the tea caddy. We arrived jangled and tired, we departed restored and happy! Thank you.

We enjoyed a perfect weekend staying at the cabins - two nights only just enough to appreciate the secluded bush location, comfy accommodation and chilled vibe. So many thoughtful little touches from hosts Manda and Julie make this a special place. We'll definitely be back and would love to experience every season at this hidden Blue Mountains gem.

A beautiful cabin, exquisitly decorated, equipped with everything we needed for our stay, and within a couple of minutes of Evans Lookout and the stunning Grand Canyon walk. Manda and Julie are delightful, entertaining and very helpful hosts.

The beautiful Rough Track Cabins are a very special place. A lot of thought and care has gone into making the cabins very comfortable and beautiful to be in, and everything has been so well thought out. They are artfully curated with beautiful items, furniture and landscaping. They are in the most exquisite location bordering the National Park with walks and views close by and filled with birds and wildlife. This is my second visit and I love the cabins so much – I recommend staying a 4 or 5 nights to really enjoy everything they have to offer.

A well hidden absolute gem in the heart of the mountains. Peaceful, serene, quiet and comfortable. A real treasure for rest, reflection and walks. Everything you need but away from the buzz. Loved that I can walk to my morning bush meditation straight from my door step. Will be coming back. Big thanks to Manda and Julie for creating this special space.

The minute we arrived at Amanda and Julie’s property we felt like we could relax and breathe. From Amanda’s super friendly greeting to the comfy bed, indoor fire place, good quality linen and Julie’s iconic artwork adorning the cabin, there is not one feature of comfort that has been overlooked. We enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire watching the sunset, as much as we did following the easy and beautiful Rough Track to the lookout as the sun came up, in the company of abundant bird life. We felt a million miles away from anywhere but were only a few minutes drive from excellent coffee - total bonus! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful, cosy cabin set in beautiful bushland.
Everything I needed for a couple of days of peace and quiet. Enjoyed a glass of wine in front of the wood stove each evening. Manda was very welcoming. The 'Rough Track' led to an incredible lookout over the canyon. Would love to stay there again.

Comfortable, cosy and calm. A beautifully decorated cabin in pristine bushland situated above one of the Blue Mountains most spectacular walkable canyons just a stroll from ‘home’. You’ll feel at home very quickly, without the distraction of tv; leave your devices at home and take advantage of the quiet, only interrupted by the resident Lyrebird going through their repertoire. Of course there are many other attractions nearby and Blackheath village can supply your needs. We’re looking forward to coming back again soon.

Perfect little cabin in the woods!
My husband and I wanted a quiet mid week break and walk the Grand Canyon and the Cliff Top Tracks. The cabins are well located for these walks and cosy and comfortable for relaxing afterwards. Manda and Julie are lovely hosts and were very accommodating to us when we wanted to arrive early to start walking before the big rain set in on Wednesday 28 November. We will return for a family walk soon. Thanks!

I travelled to Rough Track Cabins in late May with my 18 y/o son for a weekend in the mountains.
Quite simply, they were terrific.
The cabins look great nestled in the landscape, and the one we stayed in was a one bedroom, with a slow-burning wood stove, funky retro furnishings and a simple, functional kitchenette.
The stylish vibe of the cabins comes replete with original artworks on the walls and on all the soft furnishings. But possibly the most amazing thing about the cabins is their seclusion and the walk down to a wonderful, peaceful viewing spot on a spur above the Grand Canyon Walking Track.
The cabins are in easy walking distance of Evans Lookout and Neates Glen trail heads, and for my money they're better than a hotel room or airbnb. We'll definitely be returning. It'll be on our list of places to take overseas visitors in the future.

The cabin was so very very cosy and thoughtful. The location is fantastic, on the doorstep of the most beautiful scenery and walks. Amanda was a brilliant host, who gave us great tips of the area, and did sweet things like deliver a book on stars for us to look at! There was great coffee, a beautiful fire, comfy bed and the big Blue mountains all around. So Perfect! Thank you!

Excellent place to get away and simply chill out. The cabins are set in a beautiful and tranquil bush setting that immerse you with the feeling that you are miles away from everything, however you are only minutes from all there is to see in the Blue Mountains. Some of the best bush walking tracks are literally at your doorstep while shopping and dining at Blackheath and Leura are only a short drive away. The cabins are simple but quaint and cosy, including all the basic necessities and an amazing open log fire to warmup against while sharing some wine and a cheese platter. If you want a place to de-stress then this is the place for you!!

Gorgeous, peaceful, creative and cosy. Perfect. The cabin space is better than my words will capture, a retreat in itself - and then with some of the best walks in the mountains walkable from the doorstep. Thank you for an inspiring and rejuvenating stay.
