This place is just amazing. It’s a farm and we did find a tick and our tent got covered with black ants by morning😂. But the views and the climate there is awesome. Even when it’s raining it’s bloody good. And the best part are the small canoes and boats you can row in the lotus pond 😍😍. Been there twice. Will prolly go heaps more.

Misty Mountain offers a magical retreat, where morning mist dances with sunbeams, and stargazing feels like a journey into the cosmos.

There are a lot of things to do; we tried bushwalking, stand-up paddleboarding, and also visited their game room. It's worth spending your day lounging and appreciating the picturesque view. We stayed at campsite 4, which has 2 toilets: one at the top and the other one further down, closer to our campsite. It features a compost toilet that was surprisingly clean and comfortable. Additionally, there's a hot shower and a sink to wash your dishes (though the water is not potable). However, there are no bins, so you'll need to take your rubbish with you.

It has 4 campsites (you can choose your own) and plenty of room to spread out your camping gear. I recommend campsites 2 and 4 if you love waking up to a mountain view. Campsite 1 is great if you want a flushing toilet and to be near the game room, which offers free wifi. Campsite 3 is ideal if you're seeking more privacy. Campsite 4 also offers a range of options, whether you're looking for a more private area (4wd recommended if it's raining) or an open space with a view.

During our stay, there was a group of young couples who were loud (I guess they were enjoying themselves too much). We weren't that bothered, but it did take away from the serenity of the place, which is what we were looking for as campers. However, we still enjoyed our stay.

Was hands down the most beautiful and pristine camping area I have ever come across (and I’ve been to my fair share) such a perfect mix between roughing it and glamping. With the option of HOT water! and composting toilets and Wifi for those who require it. Felt so at home in the common area/kitchen with lots of games, books and board games to keep the little and not so little one’s entertained. Even has the most important thing proper coffee that you can get at the sweetest little food van. Honestly you’ll want for nothing at Misty Mountains with dozens of sites to chose from with unbelievable views from all of them and shelter from the rain at most. The staff were so helpful and friendly with heaps of secret local recommendations. Could not recommend Misty Mountains enough, 100/10 stars!!

Firstly, $20 per person, not per vehicle like is usually the case, and the shower at misty mountain was cold, but thankfully we have one of those gas hot water thingies and i knew how to adjust it behind the shower to get it igniting, but some people would not know that.

Secondly, we stumbled on this place late afternoon coming from Nimbin and we were wondering where we were going to stay, so thank you for being there!. It's so nice to be able to park and camp like the old horse, swag and billy days. I mean billy tea... There were just a couple campers scattered around on the way to WFF, so we had that nice lilly pad bordered damn to ourselves in the morning, and boy did we harness the opportunity with our bare skin. Enjoy the pictures (even added some metadata for seo) and thank you.

This campground is about an hour inland from Byron Bay so the location suited us we planned to visit Byron for a day .it’s set in the stimming’s mountains and a well maintained campground. There are compostable toilets and showers with hot water.
There is a games and amenities area with a coffee cart run by Jules and Scott that sets up around 7.30 am for your coffee fix with toasties and smoothies on offer also .
There is a washing machine at the amenity area and pool table.
There are also two dams , the fishing dam and misty dam that are stocked with fish fir the keen angler .
The staff were really friendly and plenty of site choices with your campgrounds .
Your also not far from Nimbin and surrounding towns . Take supplies with you including cooking and drinking water.
Fires were allowed when we stayed snd they sell bags of wood for $20.
Well worth a stay and would go back if in the area again .

I enjoyed a blissful three night stay at Misty Mountain Campground mid-January. The weather was inclement, which was in some ways fortunate as I think it deterred a lot of other campers, resulting in a spectacular top of the hill site at Camp 4 all to myself. Though with multiple campgrounds to choose from, even in busy times one could still find their seclusion.
This expansive elevated property offers so much in the way of tracks to explore flora and fauna, breathtaking views of the mountain ridge; and “Misty Dam”, a serene swimming spot with floating pontoon and canoes.
The composting toilet and hot shower provide creature comfort in a characterful and clean way. Plus multiple designated campfire spots.
Misty Mountain is a must stay for locals (as I am) and visitors alike.
Slow down and reconnect with yourself and this beautiful land ✌🏼

We had a great time here at the Misty Mountain. We camped at Camp 4, Magnificent view! Nice warm shower, clean compost toilet, friendly and helpful staff. Easy check-in. Very clear instructions and signboards when walking the misty loop, we enjoyed the walk so much in the past 2 days, including the dog enjoyed his offleash walk too, and had his swim after the long walk and warmer weather. It's a good place to get recharged and be ready for the new week :)

One of the best camping areas around this is a beautiful part of the world. Great campsites with clean amenities and peaceful surrounds. Excellent for star gazing or just enjoying nature with loads of wildlife and spectacular scenery. I stumbled across this place by accident and glad I found it. Value for money and only an hours drive south of the Gold Coast. Photo by @kim.borg_ozwidephotography

An absolutely fantastic 'off the grid' place for a getaway. Stunning views both day and night. Stars like you don't see in suburbia. Plenty of room so not on top of next camper. Facilities adequate, staff so friendly. We had family group of 16 and we had a ball. Roaring fires, games and laughs, lots of food and drinking consumed. We will be back. Fully recommend.

About Uki
Village in Australia

Uki is a village situated near Mount Warning in the Tweed Valley of far northern New South Wales, Australia in the Tweed Shire. At the 2011 census, Uki had a population of 765 people. Its name may have come from an aboriginal word for "small water plant with a yellow flower and edible root". The name UKI was actually derived from the limber mills in the area. Prime timber for export was marked UK 1, as in timber destined for the United Kingdom - grade 1. Hence UK1, which colloquially named the township UKI. source
