What a fabulous four day hike the Maria Island Walking Company offer. Our two beautiful young women guides - Shana and Nat were exceptional in every way. Providing amazing details of the history, the geographical formations and the wildlife of the island. They prepared beautiful meals each day as well as providing any necessary first aid for fellow walkers. Our walk was at a steady but comfortable pace and the scenery was spectacular. Thank you Maria Island Walking Co and your amazing team. We loved our journey.

What an incredible four-day adventure through Maria Island. The accommodation and facilities each night were top-notch and made us feel very comfortable. The food far exceeded what I thought we would receive it was delicious and fresh. Our amazing guides Amelie & Audrey were extremely knowledgeable about the island, friendly and took care of everything for us from start to finish.

The Maria Island Walk was a wonderful experience. Our two wonderful guides were knowledgable, friendly and unbelievably helpful. They took terrific care of us and their cooking was excellent. The walk itself caters to all levels of fitness, with comfortable walks in the morning coupled with more challenging options later in the day. Maria Island has such an abundance of natural beauty. I would recommend this to anyone.

We offroaded it and spent most of our time face-to-face with wombats (including babies) and kangaroos. The landscape, ruins, cliffs, everything here are INCREDIBLE.

One of the most stunning islands I've been to. The nature, the scenery, the history and the animals are amazing. The walks aren't too difficult and the weather is pretty nice. You can camp here or you can just come for the day, either way you're winning.

A world class destination and an unmissable part of Tasmania. The walks are mainly flat and easy, and you will see wombats, kangaroos and wallabies, as well as an incredible amount of bird life.
As accommodation is limited on the island, book early. This also keeps this beautiful place from ever being overcrowded.

What an awesome 4 days! This is an experience not to be missed. Take the natural beauty of Maria Island, add 2 great guides, excellent accommodation, gourmet style food and wine, and a willingness to go that little bit further to guarantee customer satisfaction- that's The Maria Island Walk

One of the best experiences possible. Guides Sakura and Sharna were fantastic and all one could ask for. Well catered and planned, with the site itself a spectacular place to hike/walk and chill out for four days. Couldn’t rate higher.

I have traveled and walked all over the world love Europe Africa USA and been too many amazing places. Though Maria Island (where I've sailed and walked for many years) with its breathtaking cliffs ,
vistas beaches is something else. The Maria Island walk itself was just an amazing experience! camping at it's best. The guides were informative fit fabulous and just great characters. Superb Tasmanian wine and local food added to the amazing meals and superb accommodation locations. Overall just an iconic experience!

Beautiful place for a walk. The wombats are indifferent to human presence, and one can get very close for a selfie with it. Sighting of kangaroos are quite common, but they will not let you get close.
Visited the Bishop and Clerk summit and the Painted Cliff. It's quite a lot of distance to cover in one day trip

If we could encapsulate this experience in a few sentences- Informative and passionate guides in Noms and Matilda, quirky bush showers, breathtaking nature beaches coastline. Thanks for sharing with us Melbournians!!

This is a fabulous walk with wonderful scenery and experiences. The logistics worked extremely well and the food and catering generally were top class. The two guides were exceptional - they worked as a team, were very knowledgable and had a great sense of humour. The walking is very manageable but if you choose to climb either Bishop and Clerk or Mt Maria you need to be ready for a long and in some places steep climb. There are plenty of really interesting things to see on the island and its history is fascinating. Well done to the team from the Maria Island Walk

A truly awesome experience in every way. Maria island is without doubt a beautiful and pristine island but the addition of knowledgeable, friendly guides like Holly and Georgia just take this trip to another level. Never been on a guided walk before but the guys have set a ridiculously high bar. Huge thanks to Ian, Andrew and especially Holly and Georgia. Great company, friendships made with a diverse group of people. An experience that will last for a very long time.

Wonderful walk with excellent guides! We had great weather, the scenery was spectacular and Sara and Sean teamed up to make this an extraordinary trip. The walking was good exercise but not too strenuous although it could be tailored for personal preference if you wanted to push yourself a little harder. The accommodations were wonderful and the food and wine far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Beautiful walk in a gorgeous location. Small group hiking is the best. The guides were excellent - knowledgeable and so cheerful, making the long days easier. The food was fantastic - prepared fresh every day and different menu each day. Any dietary requirements were easily met so no-one missed out. Coming into the bush camps after a days walking was awesome. Great 2 bed huts, dining area and bush showers with a view. So much to see on this island, definitely worth a return trip. Just wish it was longer!

My partner and I had the most amazing experience on this tour! The accomodation nestled in nature was stunning and the food was amazing. Nana and Nomes our guides were super knowledgable and friendly and we often felt as if we had the island to ourselves. Saw heaps of wildlife too and the beaches were beautiful. We would definitely recommend this tour if you want to explore Maria Island.
