Great place to rest in motorhome/caravan. Pub across the road for meals , public pool 50mt away from camp nice on a hot day $5 to $7per person.

Lovely little campground beside a river. No potable water. Toilets and hot showers.
Town has some interesting historic buildings and signage explaining it. Easy flat walking around town. Short walk beside river with plaques to read.
Great Goulburn bread from the Cafe.

Great Free camp (not really free - please make donation at servo). Plenty of space for lots of vans by the river. Lovely clean toilets & hot shower. Plenty of shady trees & free BBQ’s. There’s a cycle & walking path leading off the car park. A little bit of highway noise at night but it settles down early. The dump point is just a short drive away too. Recommend the pub in town for dinner & the Merino cafe for breakfast or lunch.

Barbour Park, so named after the local physician and Shire President, Dr Barbour, is a peaceful site for up to 48 hours stopover. The site is flanked by Meadow Creek and enjoys access to short walking trails. There are clean toilets, hot showers, heated pools, sheltered seating and BBQs. The site offers enough room for at least a dozen RVs and is suitable for large rigs, there is an overflow site available at Gunning Showground, less than 1km South, should Barbour Park be full.

It’s a lovely free camping site with hot shower! Besides community’s swimming pool. People always turned out the toilets light after they finished. I’m appreciate about this community project for the site.

This is a lovely place to stop.. nice little local pub nearby for meals and nice clean showers and toilets. Was a little busy so would recommend getting there early but a great place to stop within very close distance to the Hume.

Fantastic free park. Clean toilets and hot showers. Please leave a donation at the petrol station to assist with upkeep. You need to get here early all the spaces were taken by 3.00pm.

A great spot to meet for catch up cuppa with travellers on Hume Hwy. Midway Yass & Goulburn. 👪 playground. Can stay up to 2 nights free, all amenities 😎

Great place to stop. Small free camp with hot showers, flush toilets, and clean drinking water. Pretty creek and electric BBQs. The small town of Gunning has raised the bar for free camping, with not just the facilities but also the town itself is very welcoming to visitors.

Update, A year later: Just spent the night here and the amenities are still well kept and the town friendly. There was about 8-10 vehicles camping and no noise at all. Still a great stopover. Thank you, Gunning.
