By far the best mechanic experience I’ve ever had and I’ve owned a number of cars over 25years driving. Very communicative, extremely informative, and reasonably priced.
I’m not from Adelaide and only here for a month. I initially broke down and got it towed to them after I did a google search and they had good reviews. They ran tests and couldn’t find any issues. They gave the car back to me as I needed it and they thought it would be good to have updated diagnostics to see what the issue may be if something went wrong again. Unfortunately I broke down again. On this occasion they drove out to me to see if they could get the car going. However, I needed towing again. This time they were able to find the issue (a faulty fuel pump that was replaced less than a year ago by another mechanic). They replaced the part and the car is working fine now. They also did a follow up call a week later to see how the car was driving. I highly recommend Carrington st Autos. Thanks Sandra and the team.

I cannot recommend the team here enough! They are absolute superstars. We were visiting from interstate and had car troubles. I called a few mechanics in the area who all said they were fully booked out until the end of the month. As soon as Terry answered the phone, she listened to our story and were told to bring our car down straight away (even though they were also full!). With their help, we were able to continue on our holiday just as planned. Thank you so much Terry, Sandra and to the rest of the team!!

Whilst Traveling with my family around Australia, we experienced our fair share of car issues. I called Sandra and the team and the managed to squeeze me. Turned out the car needed some work and we were on a tight timeline, they managed to not only get the job done quick, they also leant us a car so we didn’t miss out on seeing things whilst in town. Clear communication and great follow-up after the job was done to make sure all was still good. Highly recommend these guys and Thankyou again for going above and beyond. A lot of others could learn a lot from your service.

first time getting a car serviced - i know nothing about cars and this is my first car (secondhand, older model) so was a bit nervous about it all. communication about the necessary repairs was good and the service was faster than expected considering various parts were replaced. staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and the written vehicle report provides a very useful summary of what was done and recommending things to take care of next time.

Not since IlPortello Auto Repair in Stepney closed and Larry retired, has my automotive experience been so positive and reassuring as I encountered with Carrington Street Auto Repairs.
Here is a friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable RAA approved automotive workshop and most of all EV accepting.
In contrast to Canberra, at last here in Adelaide is a workshop willing and able to work on EV’s, in this case a Nissan Leaf. During my last two years of ownership (of an EV), independent EV service centres have been nonexistent and regular service centres have been non-accepting of EV’s.
I highly recommend Carrington Auto Repairs to prospective EV owners seeking independent EV servicing.

Awesome staff. They took my car in an emergency in between 2 customers because I was travelling through. They spent a lot of time on it trying to find the problem, and they gave me a very detailed report on what was the issue. I definitely recommend this place if you need to fix the car in Adelaide 👍

For the last 5 years I've been a pedestrian in Adelaide. Owning a vehicle didn't make sense. I live and work in the CBD, parking is a nightmare, cyclists are always faffin about, the list goes on. Then one day things changed. I learned about some local auctions that consistently have amazing, very large goodies for sale. So, as you do, I bought nissan pathfinder on impulse. Now, in excellent condition an old Pathfinder can fetch about 5k. I got mine for 2250 with the condition that I covered repair costs. Chuffed, I paid the money, bought a new battery and whipped around the corner to Carrington Street Auto Repair. They're close. They seem friendly. I dropped off my new steed to see what the damage was. Damn near cried when they showed me the laundry list. Cracked steering mounts. Bad bushings. Needs new windshield wipers. Etc. It needed a nauseating amount of TLC. The lovely people in the shop talked me through the top priority repairs and we booked em in. Each repair was started and finished on the same day without any need to return to fix a mistake. All in all, I still ended up paying about 5k for my Pathfinder, but now it's in excellent condition AND I've got a local mechanic I can trust.

We were stopping through Adelaide on a bigger road trip, and Sandra was nice enough to fit us in for routine maintenance while we were in town. They checked over the car completely, were very honest with pricing, and got through any repairs in a timely manner. Additionally, Sandra was very communicative via email, text, and calling to get in touch to confirm our appointment and ensure we gave the go-ahead on any repairs.

Great auto shop in a convenient location in the city. Sandra and Terry are professionals with friendly customer service. They gave me reasonable and open feedback about the repairs required to fix my car, I highly recommend them.

Sandra and her team are very knowledgeable about all things cars, they make the effort to educate and explain the procedures that need to be performed and advise when things are urgent or not. I've been a long term customer and never had any cause for complaint. We own Volvo's and have had issues with 2 of them. In relation to my C30 I took it to Volvo 2 years ago for a continuous issue of it starting. I was charged approximately $850 to have a key cartridge (key receptor) changed. This made NO difference whatsoever and we informed Volvo of that but they could not offer any further advice on it. My car completely stopped the other day and so I decided to take it to Carrington Street Authorized Repco Service as they had been spot on in the past identifying issues with my car. It was the starter motor! After having the starter motor replaced my car turns on every time the first time now! They have serviced our Volvo's and are precise, honest and knowledgeable....and are very reasonably priced! Carolina

Great clean workshop with exceptional customer service, looks after all my vehicles now from private to business cars, very reasonably priced for good quality parts, great communication and will get authorisation on most work needed. Love it keep up the good work Sandra, you team and your workshop are highly recommended.

I appreciate for their help yesterday. They are really professional and quickly fix my car problem. The lady in reception is very friendly, helpful and explain everything to me. Excellent car maintenance and repairs at prices that are reasonable. Proprietors and staff are very obliging - simply lovely people.

We could not recommend these guys enough. They went above and beyond for us. We had just had a bad experience with a previous mechanic who hadn’t fixed an oil leak correctly. Craig took the time to tell us the facts and explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our many questions. Sandra was extremely helpful and squeezed us in at the last minute and also gave us loads of advice regarding other aspects of our trip and van (as we are backpackers from the U.K). We knew straight away that we could really trust these guys. They were extremely thorough and picked up on a few other little things that the previous mechanic had missed and needed to be changed before we set off on our long trip across the nullabor. They did a great job at explaining to me what was wrong. I often find garages intimidating, but this was not the case at all, the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Great support from the first minute i called after i've organized my tow back through RAA. Sandra found a spot for my van on the same day. Problem was found asap, got a call what is wrong and well explained what has to be fixed now (waterpump), what is recommended to do as well (belts) and what it will cost and that they will inform me if anything else is found while doing these before the job is done to agree again. Agreed and the next day my van ready for pickup with all the problems solved. Got everything explained again and the parts shown that got exchanged.
