St Joseph's School Hindmarsh

i don't know why all these people are giving bad reviews! my family has been involved in the community for eight years and loved it. Every teacher has a different teaching method which makes each year fun! yes, my children had a small issue, here and there but doesn't everyone? my eldest child is in year 6 at the moment and she loves coming to school! her teachers Drs Dedic and Miss Frost, focus on each and every students needs and help the children strive for learning goals! also the principle is a very kind and supportive lady so i would give the school a 10/10 if i could! i recommend sending your child there!

Have been part of this lovely school Community for almost ten years. The teachers all go above and beyond for the students often responding to an email i send late at night due to work committments very promptly. The facilities are great especially now with the opening of our new building. Everyone is made to feel welcome and like they matter. Small number of students about 300 i think which makes it very personable. Highly recommend it.

I'm happy with St Joseph's, it's a great place for my child to learn. I feel that it is a diverse community that embraces all cultures and I know my child is always included and supported.
The teachers and staff are friendly and my daughter is always happy and eager to come to school.
I am grateful that my child is in a happy environment where she learns manners, values and is part of a community!

I do recommend this school but it needs to be better with academic excellence since it's not in the even top 10 for academic achievement in better schools.com.

After having Mrs d'aloia came the school has been much better and they really do care for your child however it is a bit unfair for older students because some teachers automatically pick the side of the little ones first

The amount of learning here is less then a kindergarten centre

The principal is also complete useless and doesn't do much to find good teachers that are well at educating, my year 6 teacher only gave us one assignment out of the entire year. Due to not being properly educated and most likely worse then a public school I now struggle in high school.

The old principal, before the current principal was here actually hired good teachers that actually teached and not sit on there lazy bums on a chair earning 65k a year for doing complete nothing.

I'm not sure how the department of education is allowing this low level education, I just cannot wait till they do 4 more years of naplan for the school to be shut down or for a new principal to be hired so parents don't have to waste money and children don't have to suffer through high school.

The teachers here are simply disgusting. They target students for no reason and actively try to make your schooling horrible.

I had to unfortunately go to this school for most of my childhood and I can barely remember anything good about it, please don't send your kids here.

PARENTS CONSIDERING THIS SCHOOL MUST READ!! - What a useless principle!! Children being bullied and visciously hurting each other is apparently a non issue to her - she is not a mother herself and therefor does not care ONE BIT about the welfare of the students. Parents who complain when their children have been harmed, are made to feel that they are being overly dramatic and no action is ever taken to ensure it doesn’t continue. Parents have no choice but to pull their kids out of the school and this is evident in The decreasing number of students. For a catholic school this is beyond appalling! Where is the Catholicism?! This principle needs Jesus. She is the worst!!!

I never felt like the school cared about anyone here. I had two teachers that were nice and kind to me but besides that all the other teachers were really mean to me. I felt like they hated me a lot.
