Cape Banks Lighthouse

Dirt road access but worth it.
We watched the seals playing around for quite a while. Delightful spot.

Cape Banks Lighthouse proved to be an absolutely enchanting destination with a view that can only be described as breathtaking. The option to either gracefully descend the stairs to the expansive stretch of beach or opt for a leisurely four-wheeled drive, as we did, added an extra layer of charm to the experience.

The location exudes a sense of seclusion, providing a serene escape with only a handful of locals and fellow visitors present. This serene atmosphere allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty that surrounded us. A particularly delightful surprise during our visit was encountering a playful family of seals, adding an unexpected touch of wildlife magic to the already picturesque setting.

Dirt road, but worth the bumpy drive. So peaceful, and the view is beautiful too.

Nice beach have the place to myself almost

Great place to camp, 4x4 on beach and can see seals swimming very close to land. Lots of seaweed and smells. Mosquito's at night.

Lovely place to spend a few times with an amazing stretchable seashore. But the last 2-3km of road is not well maintained. It was kind of a one-way road, so be careful when you are driving.

Incredible views, and super pretty with the reddish hue in the green shrubbery. There's a camping spot close by, wish we had looked that up first and stayed there, looked very quiet and sheltered from the very strong wind.

Sea was so still and calm. Plenty of people out and about trying to get a bite. Fish were not around as much as normal though. Great fishing 🎣🐟 spot

Beautiful location, historical, preferable for 4WD but cars can go too.
small parking space so be ready to park a few meters away near the camping ground.

Bit of a drive to the light house in a 2 wheel drive car, but it's worth it

Up you get up close and personal with this feature. Great coastal views a bonus.

Always lovely to stop by to check the views. This time round we managed to make it here as the sun set with the shipwreck on the beach in view.

Camped in the free camping area over the Australia day long weekend, we had no trouble getting a camp spot. The sunset and sunrise was incredible. Highly recommended

Family fun checkin out Carpenter Rock's & surrounding areas, bring surf rods or normal fishing rods

Great expansive views, phenomenal sunsets and if you’re lucky you might catch view of the seals.

The beach is good and The boat is very beautiful and worth visiting here.
