Charleston Cherries

Back here for the second year of cherry picking, and Charleston Cherries remains my top choice for a cherry-picking farm. The $6 entry fee, and the farm provides picking buckets (need return at the exit) and free liners. The cherry prices are reasonable, and with a vast farm area, different sections open each week, ensuring a worry-free cherry picking experience. The only downside is some cherries got hit by rough weather this year, but there's still plenty to choose from.

An unrealistic and stupid rule on the website (does not allow eating during picking). I don't care after paid entry fee.

Excellent experience. Orchard is set in a picturesque location in the hills. It is well maintained, clean and tidy. Trees are at low height, perfect enough for kids - our 3 year old was easily able to navigate through them and pick. PYO was run very smoothly, staff was good and prices are quite reasonable. Best part are the cherries off-course: fantastic quality and very sweet. We will visit again next year.

Excellent family day out, busy place with probably best rates for PYO. Plenty of cherries, different varietals available. Overall a good experience. Yes I agree that check out can be a bit slow, as the place is extremely busy, but not a deal breaker. Friendly staff in general.
The only pain point is lack of adequate toilet facilities considering how busy it was and most of the customers were families with young kids, and waiting in queue with a young one for 10-15 mins can really spoil the experience.

This farm is great! We thoroughly enjoyed our morning picking a few different varieties of cherries. The trees were full of fruit and the owners had buckets and liners ready for people to use. The prices are the best I've seen in the area, and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to visit again!

This is the 3rd year I took my family to their farm, lovely family and would definitely come back again next year!

PS: Tolite facility is available on site but very limited space, the next closest public toilet is in Lobethal about 5 mins drive.

A good variety of cherries here, juicy and tasty. Very friendly staff and probably the best price for pyo cherries. Will definitely come back for the next cherry season!

Great cherries. Plump and sweet. It was dissapointing to see people climbing into and damaging the trees.
