Shhh... cheapest fuel in town.
Sometimes I will drive from Preston to this petrol station just hoping it will be cheap, only once have I been let down (they ran out of my fuel).
I always want to see the independents do well, and these guys bet the discounting and all the other tricks done by the big boys at the high end of town.
No huge amenities, just cheap fuel consistently and good service.
Not sure I should be telling the world this, I might never be able to get my fuel again, then again, they might get so busy they discount even further.

I highly recommend Metro Petroleum. My car was running low on fuel so I pulled into this petrol station. The pumps were in good condition, and worked perfectly, pumping my car with fuel in a timely fashion. The staff member was friendly, and processed my payment in a professional and efficient manner. I opted for their top of the line premium fuel selection, and my car ran well on their high quality petrol. If I have the option, I will always go to Metro Petroleum for all my petro-chemical needs.

Fabulous. Cheapest place in Melbourne! Luckily its only a few blocks from my home! A bit tricky to get into if you are coming off the eastern fwy. Be ready to indicate as soon as you cross the lights at Nicholson St and be ready to brake and turn in. I usually enter from Nicholson st. Always packed! One guy chatting to me told me he has been going there for a year since discovering it and he drives from Kew once a week to fill up! lol :-) The price is reduced by 5c per litre between 9pm and 5 a.m. Tons of Taxis filling up there. Sometimes a queue to get in. I just came back. After 11pm lots of cars but luckily I got to a pump straight away. The petrol tonight was 30c per litre cheaper than my usual cheap BP and 25c cheaper per litre than Shell who hadn't put their price up as yet. Needless to say I filled up well! :-)

The woman working tonight was very sweet, receptive and customer oriented. 10/10 fantastic service and prices.

Friendly. Always open. Reliably cheaper than any others nearby. Has diesel and 95. Takes credit cards but has an Amex surcharge. Cheap BBQ gas.

Diesel price here is always cheapest in the town. Always at least 10c cheaper than other stations. They have to add at least one more diesel pump as they got only one at the moment

if your in the city and need fuel then Metro Petroleum the place to fill up cant beat there price, you might have to wait for a minute or two, you hear people say there something wrong with the fuel because it's cheap are cheap flights bad
