Terowie Railway Station

Space to cook on a small burner near, very interesting and cool empty buildings even when it's a bit windy. There was a bin but nothing else

Awesome spot to stay the night, we had the place to ourselves (mid January). A great idea to install "crim safe" security doors and window screens to the station building so you can still see inside. Would definitely recommend a visit, the few people we saw while driving through the mostly deserted town all gave us a friendly wave 👋 😀

Very real, quiet, serene, great history. A lot happened there on a daily basis decades ago. I remember that station crowded with people and suitcases. A very busy railway junction for passengers and freight. Time has passed it by but if you listen you can hear the ghosts of the past

Nice place to visit you camp camp in your van if self sufficient. And as far as wheel chairs it dirt here

Historically significant place. I enjoyed reading about it's history on the various signs provided.

Awesome place, my family lived in Terowie before I was born..it was surreal to stand on the platform and think that my parents nay have stood in the exact same spot as me many years before hand.

We camped here,they allow this at this spot...no facilities other than toilets in nearby main street...but a good place . Lots of info boards to read...a bit of a sad town these days, was once bustling with life

If you enjoy trains in general and railway history please visit Terowie and walk around following the history notice boards

We all need to be reminded of the history of this great country and this town is certainly part of it so worth while visiting and cheapest petrol for miles

A historical place close to my growing up years always hearing the famous line from Gen Macarthur "I shall return."
