Labbaik

Paid a visit to Labbaik Indian Restaurant serving Hydrabadi cuisine. Google Maps has the photos of the full menu whereas the online ordering is a limited menu. Takeaway only available, I ordered the following:
- Tandoori chicken
- Malai tikka
- Palak paneer
- Lamb biriyani
- Biriyani haleeem
- Garlic naan
- Rice

The garlic naan is lovely and so too the loose grains of rice which is perfect with the curries. The Tandoori chicken is excellent, lovely char flavour and the dishes have a touch of chilli. The malai tikka is a lovely chicken dish marinated in spices. Excellent palak paneer, lovely spinach sauce covering chunks of the tender Indian cheese cubes. The lamb biriyani provides chunks of tender lamb in a slightly pungent biriyani rice. The biriyani haleeem is like some kind of lamb and lentil paste which is very unique and oozing flavour. There's also a curry sauce, minty chutney and raitha thrown into the mix to round out the meal. Delicious dishes.

Not to sure on other items but I usually come here just for the chicken 65. And I ask for it to be made with a bit of gravy. And the result is this insanely flavourful and spicy dish that just goes amazing with some naan.
Be aware that it is a very different version of the usual chicken 65 you find around…

I ordered Family pack Chicken Biryani from Labbaik and the biryani was delicious. All rice and chicken properly cooked. Family pack can easily feed 6-8 people. Good restaurant near Coburg area...

It cant get any anymore authentic than this, best hyderabadi Biriyani in Melbourne. Ordered for my kids birthday party (60 guest) there wasn't anyone who didn't praised the chef. Generous quantity, flavourful, reasonably priced.

My personal favourite, haleem during the month of Rmadan!

Best ever Malai Tikka in Melbourne, if not in Australia!!!

We have tried Malai Tikka in so many Indian restaurants in Melbourne but the quality of this one beats all the top ones! And the fragrance of the food drags you inside the restaurant! The guys are from Hyderabad, explains the taste. Don't go here if looking for fancy ambience. It's super basic but food is what you must go here for. Thank you for the Malai Tikka

Food is awesome if you look for take away option.
Biryani and other curry items are the best to try.
Not a big fan of dine in so i don't bother about dine in arrangement.

When I first stepped into this place after reading some of the reviews, I was a bit skeptical. There was nothing about this place that offered any promise but my perspective changed after eating their biryani. They say ‘authentic Hyderabadi cuisine’ on their sign board and I completely agree with it.

The place doesn't look like much and I couldn't dine in on Monday evening, but the chicken biryani was really good with tender meat and nicely spiced. The service was very quick and the portion for one was very generous, I couldn't finish it 👍

I first had their mutton biryani way back in 2013 and kid you not I found it better than biryanis I had back all across India! I remember them preparing haleem overnight. Have got some wonderful memories and even today their food doesn't disappoint😊 simple and captivating..

Amazing food and great service. Honestly the best briyani I've had in a long time both in India and Australia. Best to go in a big group and to make sure that you have a big appetite because the food is so good you won't want to stop eating. We had the lamb briyani, the chilli chicken and the chilli fish. It was so so good, can't wait to go there again!

Excellent place for takeway biryani. I am quite particular about my biryani and so so happy to find this place. If you haven't tried it you MUST give it a go. Will visit more often. The guy is awesome too. Enjoy! You will really love it.

Even after over a year from my review the quality of biryani and sheekh kebab remains the same. Simply superb.

I reside in Mernda my sister told me to try food at labbaik. I ordered biryani, butter chicken and naan.The food was soo delicious. One of the best Indian food I have tried. It was worth to travel to Preston. If I have Indian food I will not go any other restaurant highly recommend.

Excellent Biryani and Haleem. The place is closed nowadays? I visited multiple times and it says temporarily closed. Anyone having idea whats going on? Couldn't find them open since christmas vacations started.

I'm not Indian though this is the best Indian food I've had in ages. Tandoori chicken was amazing. Chicken biryani was spot on. All the other curries were fantastic. Generous servings and great friendly no frills service. Thank you.

Very very tasty biryani in Melbourne. One of my friend recommend to try haleem and biryani in this restaurant. I went late around 10:10pm. They don't have time to prepare haleem . But I got biryani .It was very good and fresh. Never had a real hyderabadi birayani in Melbourne like this .Highly recommended.

Have been going to Labbaik since 2010 and still love the Biryani till date. Must visit if you love authentic Hyderabadi Biryani!

Just ordered Mutton biryani, prawn masala, tandoori chicken and Haleem. Not many people can cater to the spice level of a South Indian. And this place delivers. Loved it!!

Fantastically authentic and very tasty. This place is a diamond in the rough, what it lacks in dining ambience it more than makes up for in everything else! Food is excellent, service is genuinely friendly & as long as your not precious about cutlery and plates not matching and don't mind waiting a reasonable time to get your dishes, it is a great spot to have a meal.

Note: The establishment is alcohol free

If you are looking for authentic Hydrabadi Biriyani in Melbourne, this is the right place. The price can be a bit high, but well justified with the quality and quantity. This place is also famous for their Haleem. My other faviourates are Thandoori Chicken and Malay Chicken..
