Mr Soong Chua Orthopaedic Surgeon

I had 2 total knee replacements this year (8 weeks apart). I could hardly walk before having them done.
I had needed these operations for many years but didn’t know which orthopaedic surgeon to go to.

Mr Soong Chua was highly recommended by a friend who is medically trained himself.
Soong was brilliant, he explained everything so clearly and answered all my questions. I felt extremely comfortable with him. He operated robotically and everything was straightforward.
Soong changed my life. 4 months after my second operation, I can walk pain free for hours. I can’t recommend him highly enough. Thank you Soong!

This is under my daughter’s account but, I just want to give Dr Soong a review for his professionalism and expertise. Without his professional input my almost 10 years of pursuit for bettering health and treatment will not be materialised after my bilateral shoulder injury. Thanks to him, I am slowly in the journey to better health and wellbeing and slowly adapting to my chronic condition.

I recently had a devastating pec tear off the bone in the gym and after going through few consults for self funding with ortho surgeons, I decided to go with Dr Soong chua who successfully performed the surgery with remarkable precision, resulting in an excellent outcome.

The entire experience from consultation to post surgery follow up was everything you want and expect.

What impressed me the most was the speed of my recovery and how small the scar/incision was compared to what the other ortho surgeons were telling at the time. Thanks to Dr Soong and his teams expertise I also regained my range of motion much sooner than expected.

Soong fixed my shoulder after a nasty skiing accident. I felt he really listened and was empathetic .. he could see I was struggling with pain straight after surgery and let me stay in hospital extra nights until I felt comfortable going home. Lots of great aftercare including regular appointments to check in on recovery during the weeks after. Fabulous surgeon and couldn’t recommend more highly

I underwent left shoulder arthroscopic procedure on having a serious discomfort and painful left shoulder for last 3 years. Visited 3 surgeons previously; first one was a disaster & I gave him a 1 star review. Second was very good but he had to leave the country for further specialization after putting me on Cat B waiting list; Transferred to another specialist for consultation & in my layman’s opinion; he informed me some additional procedures in preparation for a complete shoulder reconstruction, in his opinion is within next couple of months and this additional would help in that second surgery.

Since, I was concerned, was lucky to get an appointment with Mr Soong Chua; that too thanks to the single Google review then. Excellent decision; amiable & friendly person. A good listener & an accommodative person. As I had initially planned to have my surgery thro public hospital and now had to undergo at a private hospital; he tailor made a package to mitigate the impact on my purse; He had a great team; Dy Surgeon and the anesthetist. Anesthetist was patient friendly and calmed my nerves well before anesthising !!! Last but not least Soong's secretary - She was a wonderful person who kept the linkage with Soong in a perfect order

Now 5+ weeks from surgery - have regained considerable improvement will reach the targets of arm movement achieved under anesthesia within next week or two. Out of painkillers for last two weeks. I am 100% sure that I will not requrie a complete shoulder reconstrution at all.

L had a fall from 4 metres on my shoulder at work ,Had minimal movement, Dr soong Chau recommended l need surgery, so l had second third opinions .had surgery 3 years ago,l have recovered 90%+.
