Great spot, quite busy over the long weekend. Toilets were pretty good for a drop toilet, got a bit messy by the end of the weekend

We love this place. Our family have been a couple of times. Free camping. Fire pits provided. Enough wood around if you're willing to go find it yourself. The creek is beautiful! Fresh water; great for swimming; shallow enough to walk from end to end; perfect to float down in a donut/enflatable. The river rocks are nice, but hard on the feet...would recommend water shoes...makes a HUGE difference.

Great free campground and absolutely stunning and well maintained. Yes the road to the campsite is gravel but it would not be an issue for non 4wd cars. It has a long drop toilet but be mindful in the wetter months the campsites do become muddy. There are also two different campgrounds to choose from.

Camped here for 4nights, Beautiful place to have a swim or picnic. Good fire pits and non smelly dry toilets, finding a flat place to pitch can be somewhat limited on busy weekends but overall great people with some locals, nomads and families. Clean and non smelly drop toilets. Many lizards so keep your tents/doors closed and food away. You can also have a bit of a paddle here but won’t get very far due to low water and rocks. however still fun to go around again and again, provided there isn’t school kayaking trips on summer weekdays. Good place to take kids. Can be hard to find so don’t be afraid to pull over and ask someone! Can access with regular car but also has good 4WD action across the river. I found people who came to use the picnic tables in the day were messy and left allot of rubbish, sad to see. However the campers all chipped in to keep this beautiful place clean which was fantastic. There are no bins so please be prepared to take your rubbish home. Dog friendly 🐾

Lovely free campsite near a stunning and serene river area. The area is VERY popular, it was packed with campers. I had such a beautiful time.

Fire pits are scattered around. Has two drop toilets which were good throughout long weekend. There a couple of walking tracks around.

The river area right next to camp is beautiful. People were on Paddle boats, inflateable floaties and small boats enjoying the water. It was truly serene. Lots of benches for families/groups to sit on. And BBQ stands.

Area is 2WD friendly. FYI the photos where you see cars passing a stream/river - you DONOT have to pass that area to get to the camp. The camp is on the side via gravel road with NO crossings. The river place is an optional area for 4WDs to pass for fun. 4 wheel drives would drive to the "Island" and chill there

Camped here over easter weekend (7th-10th of April). The site wasn't too busy considering the long weekend and it being free - although this could be because the weather wasn't the best.

Pros:
- Lots of campsites to choose from; the ones near the toilets are packed but there are plenty closer the the main house. There is a paid quiet camping area (not sure about this as we didn't use this service). I think the grasses areas might be a bit windy as there isn't much cover but there are spots with cover available.
- Drop toilets are available.
- You can buy firewood from the main house ($15 per bag) - the owners are lovely too.
- Heaps of 4wd tracks in the area ranging from beginner to experienced.
- Erica runs a market and it is really lovely!

Cons:
- No phone reception (Telstra gets some).
- No showers available if this is something you're after.
- The surrounding towns don't have too much to offer in terms of getting supplies unless you travel further out to Moe ect. so pack what you need :)

All in all this is great campsite! Would come again when the weather is nicer.

Beautiful and well maintained camp ground. Can get busy on public holidays. Worth to note that telephone reception is not strong.

Absolutely love camping here. It’s a beautiful spot. Can get pretty busy but most of the time people are respectful and kind. The toilets are always tidy and the camp grounds too. Love that it’s dog friendly as my pup loves swimming in the river 🥰🐶.

Tucked away in a quiet spot, which would get very busy as summer comes. Lovely spot to just walk and unwind, or if you are my kids throw rocks into the water and scare off the fish my son was trying to catch!🤣

Well maintained, clean and ambient place with enough clear area to erect tent and campfire setup. Restroom and toilet available on premises. Multiple camping grounds in close proximity, No need for bookings or pass. Off road trail nearby. The last 8 km to get to the campground is unpaved and slightly unstable, although most cars including hatchbacks may come trough to the campgrounds, depends on which route you take - there are 2 routes to get to the grounds, both unpaved, while one of them is level and more stable. You are sure to have a great time here!

Parkes have done a awesome job with this place NOW It's up to you to look after it. Great camp sites with drop toilets, they even put in bays for Caravans. What you bring camping take home all rubbish. Leave it the way you found it for the next person to enjoy

Very good, nice and quiet area for comping, it worthy to stay at least for 2 nights there and enjoy sun shine and foggy weather at the same time.

A great place for camping. We found a perfect little spot, its next to the river a nicely tucked away. Plenty of areas where you can fish and sit around the camp-fire cooking your catch. You do need a decent 4WD to access many areas but it is definitely worth the weekend trip.
