Mount Erica Carpark

Thick bushy forests with loads of ferns. Really beautiful! Our plan was to walk up to mushroom rocks which is 1.5 km away (2 hour return)but the lush vegetation is so overgrown, we got scared of the snakes and just turned back. Make sure you wear good hiking boots.

An ideal location to start your day of walking and exploring. There is a drop toilet here and picnic tables and is the starting point for the short walk to Mushroom Rocks and Mt Erica as well as longer walks for more experienced hikers.

A magnificently atmospheric & beautiful mountain this is. Well worth the drive up & walk around.

Beautiful place... OK in standard cars... Don't try in lowered or you will get stuck..

We enjoyed our day hike. It’s 3 days now and I can still feel muscle pain.🤣 I think in numbers of bush walks , hike, trek that I’ve done, this is the only place I’ve got the muscle pain for more than 3 days.🤣.

What a beautiful nature, and because of that, I don’t have much photos to show. Need to focus on walking.🤣

Unexpected but we did it till the top of Mt. Erica. With ice ❄ ❄❄.

Worth the hike.

If people wants hiking adventure give this one a go. I guess if we spend maybe couple of days to wander around more, as there are more tracks, it might have been more fun.

We’ve met people who wanted to see the mushroom rock but sad to say it’s hard to find. There are many rocks but there is a specific rock that shape like a mushroom. Hope that there is a signage or markings where to find it, because maybe we’re looking at it already but it’s hard for us to figure it out.

Lovely area but the day I went the track was extremely muddy. There are some sections with wooden paths. Toilets are at the carpark and a large noticeboard for the map and other information.

Actually, unlike the interesting walk, the car park was pretty small and un interesting. If you go at the right time of year though no one will be around so it’s ok, especially good if you take the walk to mushroom rocks, such a beautiful place and I highly suggest taking a look, especially if you have a good camera to get some pictures
