Riviera Cafe and Restaurant

I happened upon this absolute gem at 3pm after a long walk. I was tired, thirsty and hungry. As it was 3pm and therefore between Melbourne’s regular lunch and dinner times, all I was hoping was that I might be able to get a coffee and possibly a cake. I was so was amazed when the full menu was available! Sometimes it’s hard to get a sandwich even in the city at this time, especially on a Monday when many places are closed. I had a a delicious meal consisting of lightly fried whiting, salad, and chips on my table before I had returned from freshening up. Perfect coffee too! And to top it off, my first ever daytime shisha.
On my arrival Tom was delightfully warm and welcoming, as if he was expecting me. The view of the river and the quiet music and buzz from other customers created atmosphere that was truly a satisfying and very pleasant late luncheon. I had a more pricey meal from the seafood section but there are lots of less expensive options on the menu too. The Riviera was like an oasis on the Maribyrnong river. Highly recommended!

I recently dined at Riviera and it was by far the best dining experience I've had. The food was absolutely amazing; every dish was bursting with flavour and impeccably presented. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. The waiters went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. I can't wait to go back!

Auj and the manager of the restaurant are the best. We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I especially enjoyed smoking Sheesha. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

Heard good things about this place from friends so had to try it for myself. Geat views of maribyrnong river, loved the Arabic music that was playing and the food was fantastic. We had the lamb mansaf(highly recommend) the serving we had today is enough for two people. Also had the kafta platter came with rice salad and hummus, kafta was fresh tender and juicy and bloody amazing. Also ordered tabouli which was also amazing and ordered batata bl kizabra I wanted to go for seconds with the batata but couldn't breathe after eating everything else. To end things the restaurant manager (Firas) was fantastic very accommodating great customer service funny and always with a smile and even gave us complimentary baklava and lebanese coffee. Will definitely be back, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere

I went to restaurant last week It was a very good experience, the food was delicious and the services very good. This restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts Especially the floor manager Firas is very friendly person and provides very good service , delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

We always drive from so far to come have our favourite Mansaf everr! Always the best quality and tastes so fresh!

We had a function of 50 people in a hall last night. Really good food and good customer services. Mr Firaz was very accommodating, great customer service, funny and always with a smile and even gave us complimentary food. Will definitely be back, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Delightful to dine in near the scenic river. Food banquet for a group is good and affordable. Coffee and tea are also available. Experienced shisha here too.

Honestly I don't understand some of the reviews here. I have been here twice and ordered food from uber twice, each time has been an excellent experience. I can't fault it. Food tastes, delicious and fresh and it's reasonably priced. Especially through uber eats it's fantastic, you can get quality shish kebabs, dips, salad, all prepared nicely like fine dining. This is not your low quality mince kebabs. It's a great option for uber eats if you are local. I tried to rate on uber I couldn't so I am writing a review here. Also I find the spice just right, it's not strong or overwhelming. Excellent, and I recommend this place.

Yes website menu is outdated but the portion of the dish (Lamb mansaf) we ordered was large. Two of us could not finished and takeaway easily fed two ppl for another meal... lamb was well cooked and we liked the rice too. No weekend surcharge. All staff were very friendly and attentive.

Never tried to change the place always my favorite relaxing spot especially the view and the staff from the head chef to the waitresses all serving you with big smile. Keep it up. 🥰

I had my daughter 2nd birthday at Riviera Restaurant. I must say it was an exceptional experience in every aspect. From the delicious cuisine the attentive service and friendly staff, this restaurant surpassed all my expectations.

The food was the highlight of the afternoon . The menu offered a wide range of delicious dishes, each prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. I recommend it to anyone. My families and friends had great time at the function.

The first time I enjoyed Lebanese food was at this restaurant two years ago. Time flies so fast but even now I still remember the taste of each dish, they were so fresh and delicious. The waiters served quickly and were friendly even though it was a busy weekend night.

Really great place for a special occasion such as engagement party or graduation or just a fancy girls night out. The menu and price is exactly like Almina in Docklands, but I would say the location is better, it's next to a beautiful river you can walk along and take pics. It's a beautiful romantic location. Does get quite busy so make sure you make a reservation.

I would absolutely recommend this Restaurant, they have amazing service, the manager himself was fantastic and so understanding, we have booked for 50 people only 10 turned up, and yet still the service we got was outstanding, and for that I say thank you for Firas as the manager and whole team, this place is something you should consider for your event. Thank you 👏
