We went there today and had a magnificent time.
I'm speechless to how brilliant it was.
The staff were friendly.
The performance was outstanding, definitely worth coming from Adelaide to see it.
It was a 2hr session with a 20min break in the middle.
The stage performance and performers could not be faulted.
Their voices were amazing.
The costumes just fit the musical.
The stage props brilliant.
As tomorrow is the last day, all I can do is recommend finding where else it is performed and go, this is not something you want to miss.
The Regent Theatre was wonderful and a great place to showcase the musical.
See Moulin Rouge.

Brilliant show - loved every minute, and I didn't want it to end !! The costumes were incredible and the cast brilliant - Simon Burke stole the show as Vidler. i enjoyed the addition of some new songs into the score. Gorgeous old Melbourne theatre, the staff were all fantastic. I purchased a cheaper seat and was pleasantly surprised as I had an aisle seat further back with great views.

The effort they have put into this production is amazing and one has to be grateful to even experience anything even close - The set, the locale, costumes, artists, humour, and most importantly the courageous expression they have put together. I agree that they are not all perfect but we need to cheer for the creativity in various aspects even though one might not like the singing of the female lead, there are many other aspects which go well above and beyond to make up in other areas. Definitely recommended!

Energetic and powerful. This is by far and wide the most spectacular production I have experienced!
The most gorgeous theatre with old world charm, transports you into a world of total awe.
We had Patrice Tipoki as Satine and she was brilliant.

I highly recommend seeing this magnificent show and I am definitely seeing it a second time.

We went to the "sing-a-long" theatre night (we didn't know we had bought these tickets) but it was great!!! The set up, costumes, lighting, dancing, singing etc.... So much energy!!! Probably the best theater show I have seen!

Loved it and would see again. Having had October 2021 matinee rescheduled to March I couldn't believe day finally had arrived. Some of the 'alternates' were in the roles (namely Graeme Isaako as Santiago not Ryan Honzalez) but they were all great, so watch out originals! Also, after having gone to theatre for years and seeing same old types great to see so much diversity. Well done Moulin Rouge! The idea of having cast members strut around stage while audience filing in great way to create anticipation. And what a show! I loved the use of classic and future classic songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's, so something for everyone. Actually the cast recording cd is a must buy. As well as the programme and a magnet (to add to the collection of course!). And finally bravo Simon Burke demonstrating again why he is such an Australian living treasure.

My first musical theatre experience. Always was a huge fan of the movie, was sceptical about theatre. However, my mind was blown, what a performance. The cast where all individually talented and jaw dropping to watch. I was in awe. The stage set up was surreal! The green fairy cocktail was incredible. I'm not sure how anything else could ever compare or match this show!!! Thank you Moulin Rouge for an unforgettable night!

I FINALLY got to see Moulin Rouge… and oh how I loved it! Went with some friends, we had a great night. I had no idea how many current songs were in it, and how cleverly they were woven into the story, even a few giggles at the manner in which they were sung! Amazing cast - Des Flanagan was a standout talent for us, we thought he was brilliant. Now I might just have to sneak in a second visit before it closes!

Oh my goodness!
I think I have been to about 15 theatre productions in the last 27 years (including the West End ones in London!), and yet Moulin Rouge has got to be one of my favs. Yes, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea (considering the setting of most of the scenes, it’s not surprising that the actors aren’t wearing very much clothing 😆), but I can’t remember ever seeing a more high impact, colourful, show, with actors who have INCREDIBLE voices, such a passion in acting their parts, and the most toned bods ever!
There was always something amazing to look at on stage; just a fantastic production from opening scene to curtain close!

A brilliant show that encompasses all aspects of stage theater. From acting, to singing, dancing and stage set up. All performers were outstanding!! It is a show you can go and watch a few times and still get your moneys worth. Highly recommend!

I loved the show. The sets and costumes and theatre were all spectacular. The theatre staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, even though we left ourselves with more than an hour to spare, we got to the show late due to protests in the city. We could not drive anywhere near the regent and had to walk from more than a km away. Please take this into account when planning your visit. Public transport is your best bet, especially on weekends.

Moulin Rouge lived up to all the reviews! Won $30 lottery tickets through TodayTix and ended up with 3rd row seats! Every single cast member gave everything they had. Couldn’t fault a thing. The set, costumes, lighting and orchestra were phenomenal. 100% recommend!

Writing this as there are surprisingly so many low reviews on here for this incredible show!

I’ve been to shows in the West End and on Broadway, and this was one of the best I’ve seen!

The set designs, lighting, choreography, costumes and talent were OUTSTANDING. The mix in of current songs was so fun - lean into it and don’t take it so seriously!

The theatre itself is incredibly beautiful, it really captivates you from the moment you walk in.

Loved every second of it!

OMG Amazing. 2 hours of pure joy. If you can go, go. I would go again. So happy we went. 10/10. Faultless. Costumes, songs, sets, so many sets, lighting, orchestration, the theatre; everything. Couldn’t have loved it more. And I have been to a lot of musicals. Including but not limited to Evita, Cats, Starlight Express, Mathilda, Rocky Horror, Grease and many more.

❤🥳😍

Absolute loved the show! We sat in row EE 32-36 and these were the perfect view of the stage. The show was amazing and all the cast were great.

I will say that on our night, we had the alternate Satine - Patrice Tipoki. WOW! What a voice. She was amazing as Satine, and we also had Joshua as Christian and he did a beautiful job as well. Would love to see it again with Des as Christian, but was definitely worth the trip down from Newcastle. Only wish we could watch it again!

I can see if you're a diehard Moulin Rouge fan that the songs may not be your jam. But I thought it was a great way of combining the movie songs with new updated songs. The energy was great!

What a wonderful evening loved everything about this show. Danced in my seat, smiled and laughed even cried which I didn’t think possible in a stage musical. So much energy from the cast. Great production and would love to see it again
