Black Salt Cafe

This is such a lively little cafe. The staff are extremely attentive.
The food was absolutely delicious.
My husband & father had the calamari & a side of shoestring fries to share - the serve was huge. Both of them struggled! I had the chicken burger & fries. I can honestly say it was one of the best burgers I have had!
And the iced coffee was awesome.
All of us left feeling very full & ready for an afternoon nap!

Wanted breakfast on way home from appointment in Clayton and Black Salt came up in Cafe's near me and what a nice place. Husband had scrambled eggs on multigrain while I had the vegetarian breakfast (avocado smash, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato and spinach) on multigrain toast. And we had coffees (flat white and soy latte). Now the food was great, mushrooms exactly how I like them too, (plain button mushrooms sauted). They have a lunch menu with burgers, fries etc and they also have sweet treats on offer, including different types of muffins and the obligatory banana bread. I brought a mango, coconut and raisin muffin, as only one left and it looked so appealing! Service great and some angle parking out the front. Ample seating inside and out.

Black Salt cafe is an excellent place to eat. As part of a couple I attended this place at around 1pm on a Saturday - based on a recommendation - and was not disappointed. Plenty of other diners were present, although it was not full at this time. Food servings were plentiful (my Super Salad with added grilled chicken was enough for 2 and therefore good value at $21) Food quality was of a high standard, as were our tea and coffee choices. Staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful. It proved the perfect choice for a cold Saturday in Winter.

There is good place area. Kids milkshake is awesome and pancakes. There are number of sitting inside the cafe. I like coffee in morning around 8 am and there is a good music with newspaper and coffee. I like they different types of cookies and I recommend that cookies and I generally preferred regular and marshmallow is good. Thanks for good and nice sittings.

On a shoestring budget? Black Salt Cafe's shoestring fries are enough for three footie lads. You can easily squeeze the tomato sauce from its packet with two fingers - no hassle.

Fresh from the sea calamari paired with crunchy lightly seasoned coleslaw with a hint of slightly charred lime creates a surprising bouquet of sensations on my tastebuds.

Love the personal handwritten message on my handcrafted jumbo chocolate shake.

A belly filling gastronomic pleasant experience.

Since we moved to the area a few months ago, we head to Black Salt at least once a week. It’s a real treasure! Delicious and varied food—from breakfast to sweet to savoury—great coffee, and friendly staff. Couldn’t ask for more.

They make really good coffee and the foods are so delicious with fresh ingredients! I’d highly recommend these guys if you wanna have a great brekky around this area!

Love the smash avo & poached egg on toasted sourdough with corn & pumpkin seeds, (started eating before I took a pic!) even the lattè was great! Will definitely be back soon.

The staff are always friendly and accommodating! Coffee is delicious. Takeaway food is hot and tasty. One time they forgot an item (my mistake really) but they hand delivered it to my door! Incredible. The best service I’ve ever had. Thank you team at Black Salt Cafe.

This was my first time visiting this lovely cafe and I was greeted with big smiles from the staff, I ordered a big breakfast and a latte. The breakfast was cooked perfectly and was very tasty, the coffee was superb (I ordered another to take away). The cafe has a nice cosy atmosphere and the staff were great, I'll definitely visit again.

Never had a bad meal here. Everything is always delicious and the daily specials are always something i look forward to seeing/eating. I like it when it's hard to choose as so many things sound so good. Portion sizes are generous, big breakfast always leaves me full and that's a feat! Aways very clean inside. Staff are polite and not over bearing.

The food is amazing and the service is always delivered with a smile. They take the time to prepare the meals but it’s worth it. My son doesn’t enjoy outdoor dining, but he really got engaged in the nice fluffy pancakes from the kids menu.
The place is also environment friendly with takeaways, that’s another star which we couldn’t add above the five already there...

Delicious breakfast and the freshly squeezed juice is perfect with no pulp. A little pricy but well worth it :)
