I have been going to My Chemist Broadway since I was 12 years of age. Im now a mother of 2 children in my mid 30s and often take them there too. The staff are incredible and always make you feel welcome, are friendly, smiling and helpful. The staff treat each other like family and people feel that warmth coming into the pharmacy. I cant speak highly enough about all the staff who have worked there, since i first came in as a child to present day. Thank you.

Went in to fill a script, business as usual.
After being greeted by the retail assistants at the front and hearing the chemist was busy on the phone, I was happy to wait. Little did I know after standing there for 5-10 minutes a pharmacist assistant appears out of nowhere willing to assist. At this point, started to get annoyed that she was probably up the front chatting too.

I pop in a request I've done before, which is to fill 2 scripts as I'm going overseas for an extended period of time. Asked the PA (pharmacist assistant), she spoke with the chemist and he said no, just one. I explained my situation and asked how do I get my additional script filled? I was met with the following response: "he will see what he can do?".

The pharmacist came over and asked to see my plane ticket. I asked if this was a legal requirement and he said no. I was slightly annoyed at this stage.

I know from Sept 1 the public will be able to fill 2 scripts for the price of one (only a certain list on the PBS website), so this has caused chemists to lose out on business as they don't have enough room to stock general goods (shampoos ect) that probably make them the real $$ and will have to use that space for more prescriptions. As the PBS pays chemists per script they fill not quantity. Meaning that they will lose out on that additional payment. (Use that information how you like).

I suspect this is what he was fearing. I assume he throught I was lying and just cannot be bothered. I ended up showing my plane ticket as requested and said I have already run out so need the script.

I think there was a better way to handle this customer service wise! Ask about where I'm going, find out if it's genuine. Genuine questions are often met with genuine responses.

Anyway, I didn't get to follow up with why he needed to see my ticket as proof to get two scripts filled as the PA checked me out.

Will be some time before I head back there, I will try a true independent rather than here out of convenience.

Disappointed, love supporting local pharmacists (even though my chemist is owned by chemist warehouse).

Staff here seem to have an attitude problem. Don’t call here for general queries. They just laugh at you? They need to step up on their customer service. Better yet get an attitude adjustment.

One of the worst and most degrading experience trying to get medication dispensed of my life. The chemist here refused to dispense medication to me claiming I'd taken out the same medication 2 weeks prior. After explaining to him that I take a high dose (3x standard dosage) and take 3 tablets per day out of a box of 30 tablets which is why I'd finished the box within 2 weeks, he still refused to dispense it. I then asked if he could at least dispense one dose for that day, as I hadn't taken the dose for that day, he again refused. Each time I go to the chemist they ask me why I'm wanting it dispensed every 2 weeks, when I tell them the dosage I take they quickly realize and dispense it. This pharmacist made me feel degraded and humiliated. I then went to chemist warehouse and he dispensed it immediately! Will never be back here!!
