Pyrenees Farm Stay

We recently enjoyed 3 great nights at Pyrenees Farm Stay during the school holidays with our two young granddaughters (aged 7 and 6). A very comfortable farm cottage, with everything needed for an excellent stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was very well fitted out, the fridge had bacon, butter, bread, milk, and so much more. The undercover outdoor BBQ and dining area was well used for breakfast cook ups and fish, steak and lamb dinners.

A large covered games area adjoins the BBQ area with table tennis, games and toys for the kids.

All so good. But the highlight is the farm itself and the activities the little girls enjoyed with Deb, our great host. Each morning Deb would collect the girls, and off they would go to move the horses to their day paddock, then feed the chickens, collect the eggs, feed the goats, play with the two farm dogs (Daisy was a special favourite). In the late afternoon, the horses needed to be moved back to their night paddock and the girls fed them their hay.

Deb took us all on a farm tour in the farm ute on one morning. The views from the top of their hill over Amphitheatre were outstanding. Deb is such a kind, patient and very generous host.

Our two granddaughters were sad to leave and are already “planning” (read cajoling) Nana and Poppy for the next visit.

Thanks to Deb and Pyrenees Farm stay for such a great experience for us. Our city grandkids now better understand where our food comes from and that eggs do not start their life in a supermarket carton 😁😁

We had the best time here with our 3 children. Deb is a wonderful host who does so much to make this place great. The best eggs and bacon you'll ever taste is provided in the pantry, along with much more staples. The home is very cozy and warm.
The ride on the back of Deb's ute to see the wider farm was a highlight kids still talk about, along with feeding the beautiful animals and playing with gentle Daisy dog.
Yesterday we went tobogganing (day trip) and our son commented that he really wanted to do that again - as well as going back to the farm.
The adults enjoyed the wine tasting and outstanding local produce.

Absolutely awesome scenery. The owners Deb and Vin are great hosts and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Accommodation is spotless. Kids and Animal are welcome. Triple A rating

Excellent accommodation for the price with a super friendly host. Only got to meet the chickens but as we were exploring the mountains - no biggie. Great to have the bacon and egg breakfast cook your own in the price.

Beautiful , quiet spot, with a lovely spacious and clean cottage. Lots of animals and a relaxing fire pit. Friendly caring hosts.
