Dr David Sime - Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Sime and his staff have been amazing! Mr Sime is very thorough and took the time to plan his approach for my particular knee surgery. This instilled a great deal of confidence that I will be in great hands! His staff are all very kind and helpful in every interaction I've had with them, particularly Ange who has been an absolute gem!

Outstanding service from the Office of Dr David Sime. He is supported by a delightful Office Manager, Fran Stewart, who had the savvy to appreciate the gravity of my family member' s medical condition and went out of her way to swiftly arrange an appointment. To find medical staff members these days, who think outside the square and react decisively and empathetically, Fran is a rare find.. Dr Sime was thorough and provided succinct answers to our questions. I cannot recommend Dr Sime and this Office enough.

I had knee surgery with Dr Sime back in November. He is thorough, friendly and my overall experience was great. I could not recommend him more!

I recently had knee arthroscopy surgery done by Dr. David Sime at Knox Private Hospital. I found him to be caring, a good listener, and was able to answer all my questions. The surgery went well, with no issues. The hospital physiotherapist gave me a leaflet with some daily exercises to strengthen the leg/joint. No crutches were needed. After the 2 weeks post-op appointment, I was able to drive a car and could walk without limping.

Dr. Sime didn’t schedule any other follow-up appointments, but I think maybe he should have done another review after 8-12 weeks to check that everything was normal and give some exercise advice. Now it’s been over 3 months since the surgery, and I have just seen another physiotherapist because I still have some pain, especially when bending and need more exercise guidance.

Also, the last time I had a knee arthroscopy by a different surgeon, I was given some photos of the damaged meniscus and of the repair, but for this surgery I didn't receive any photos, which was slightly disappointing.

Overall, I still think he is a good surgeon and has a friendly manner.
