I don't know what I ate but it was good. DIY ingredients. Warning, spice level Asian, mild is hot.

Delicious Food, choose your own meat, seafood and veggies, spend around $14, customer service very friendly, will definitely be back A++++++

Small place 30 seats.
Tried mild spicy soup, normal (non-spicy) soup, (normal spicy) stir fry.
The stir fry is the best. The spicy soup is nice but somehow we like the non-spicy soup better.

A simple Mario-themed place in the CBD. The place seemed a bit weary, although the Mario paintings on the wall are cool! I selected some veggies and meat, and for the soup I chose Sichuan spicy dry hot ($14.92).

The food was all right, better than I expected. Lots of dried chillies as expected, but the items were cooked well and the dish overall was quite tasty.

My issue is with the overall cleanliness of the place, which isn't impressive. The tables were unclean, spots and chunks of food in a few places.

Nonetheless, the staff was nice and the food was delivered quickly enough. If you're in a pinch (like the weather today) and want some nice hotpot, this place is a decent choice. Just don't expect anything mind-blowing.

new mini hotpot spot in the melb cbd with Mario theme! really love the wall art! theres a decent range and variety of foods to add to your hotpot bowl! make it a soup bowl (with diff spice levels) or make it a dry stir fry!
they have skewers too which all get the same yummy seasoning - mushroom skewers were tasty!

Hotpot is quite good. Very flavourful and tasty. Selection of ingredients are standard. Not very wide compared to competition.

Dumplings are horrible, avoid. Doughy texture and cold cheap fillings.

This place is mainly frequented by Chinese international students, so you know it's definitely authentic. Highly recommend the pork hock rice, the serving size is enormous and can easily satiate anyone's hunger. Their spicy hotpot (malatang) is reasonably priced at around $20 for a 400g bowl. Quite a good range of veggies, meats, seafood and other ingredients too. They also accept Liven Pay which is great value!

A restaurant like someone's house.

Food: 3.5/5 🍅💓
Service: 2/5 🧍‍♂☹
Looks: 4/5 😋
Atmosphere: 1.5/5 👺👨‍🦯😬

Pay by weight of dry ingredients.
~25 seatings available, very small space.

Pick your own ingredients, and cooking options, with different spice levels available.

Cluttered space and staff didn't look like they wanted to be there. When I walked in, there were no visible staff. When grabbing utensils, there were trolleys and chairs blocking the way.

Classic malatang base is always powerful and tasty. Felt like it was missing a salty kick, however, and I would wish that the noodles were a little bit more cooked through.

Give it a try only if you're feeling curious. Would suggest opting for other reliable build your own hotpot in CBD. Fun lunch.

We order 830g food including 10 fish balls and paid before cooking.
After cooking, something are missing. About 5 fish balls and some others food are disappeared.
