Mount Avoca

We had a great relaxing weekend enjoying the views and the serenity. The staff at the cellar door were friendly and welcoming.
The lodge was very comfortable for the three of us. We enjoyed the ample breakfast and snack provisions. The kitchen is also equipped well enough to cook simple meals.
We recommend Mount Avoca for anyone looking to have some quiet days in the country.
Booking all three lodges would probably be pretty great for a family gathering or celebration.

Thank you to Mount Avoca staff for making us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Commencing with a wine tasting of the lovely range of organic wines. The next surprise was the delightful accommodation with our every need met including a wonderful range of food and drinks for us to enjoy. We will definitely return to this idyllic stay.

It was a delight catching up with Dave and Kirsten. They seriously know their business and Dave creates stunning wines. Accommodation at Mount Avoca is exceptional; fabulous views, comfortable surrounds and peaceful stillness. I would recommend Mount Avoca to anyone who appreciates the better things in life.

Such an amazing little villa. Our family absolutely enjoyed every minute. The provisions that where included would be some of the best We have ever seen and they even catered for gluten-free. The outlook was stunning. Good wine and there was a playground for the kids. We will be recommending to all our friends and family and will be back.

A truly enjoyable stay, luxury accommodation with stunning views over the vineyard and Pyrenees Ranges. Super friendly and helpful staff and a pantry and fridge stocked well above our expectations, coupled with a selection of their beautiful wines. We stayed in one of the amazing eco-luxe lodgings over the long weekend and it was truly one of the best experiences we have had away.

From the amazing view out to the lake, vineyard and up to the mountain through to the comfortable furnishings and even the small touches like complementary wine, our stay was perfect.

The cellar door and wines themselves are also fantastic, no surprises thay we went home with a case of wine.

Mount Avoca is a great base to explore regional Victoria, particularly for wine and food lovers. We will be back!

We stayed in Avoca for a weekend and this was the only winery we visited. We chose it because it was a short drive and it had a playground. Our kids are 7 and 10 and were happy on the playground for the 20-30 minutes it took us to leisurely enjoy the tasting session. I could see them the whole time. Thanks Mount Avoca Winery for taking families into consideration! We'll be back in the nicer weather with a picnic! Highly recommend for anyone.

We stumbled across this place. It shocked me how amazing the people, wine and scenery. The wine maker David have extremely high knowledge and can answer any questions we asked, they gave us lots of advice. The wine is very affordable and high quality, the outside had a playground so the kids don’t get bored whilst the adults drink. Thank you so much.

Beautiful self-contained lodges in a stunning location. Extremely generous breakfast provisions and Mount Avoca wine included in tariff. No WiFi, however, and we had to buy a throw rug at Ararat Kmart as quilt thin and no extra blanket provided (we were there in late May).

What a superb location and set of three villas for a family reunion or gathering. Huge acreage of grape vines, adjacent olive groves within Avoca Winery, our entire family booked to celebrate Son's 43rd birthday. Every possible luxurious amenity, and David, owner, ensured all was setup for a couple of nights. Walks thru the vines, surrounded by all manner of birds and animals, wine tasting and long dinners ..... Terrific. Our entire family and grandchildren had a most memorable stay. 240km lovely drive from Melbourne into the picturesque Pyrenees Ranges..... It doesn't come much better! Stunning venue run by terrific people, the lovely Elisha at the cellar door and David managing the show. Our two night stay at Mt Avoca Winery was simply the best. The DJs quality food (with wine!!) that greeted us on arrival was the icing on the cake. Thanks for a perfect stay.

If you’re looking for a little peace if heaven this is it !! “How’s the serenity??!!” Silence only interrupted by the cockatoos, magnificent supplies for breakfast and platter and complimentary bottle of wine was 👌 exceptionally clean with quality fittings.

Haven't been lucky enough to come to the winery and stay yet but ordered their Premium Shiraz Dozen and have been loving the opportunity to work through their range and try it all.

A lovely visit. We were fortunate to be tutored by David, the winemaker, for the tasting. He was was a font of knowledge and very informative. The wines were excellent.

Quality products backed up by the absolute best staff. Very cheerful and knowledgeable. We were even able to get an exclusive behind the scenes tasting. We left very happy.

Wonderful experience accomodating our whole family in all three units for a great weekend.
