Loving Hut West Melbourne

2019: Great dishes overall, loved the chocolate cake and green curry especially. The rendang was a bit different from what we're traditionally used to though, but might just be a different version of it.

Service was fantastic and staff were so friendly!

2021: Just as amazing as I remembered! Tried the char kuey teow, pad thai, nasi lemak, crispy delight and massaman curry this time and everything was amazing! Staff were super friendly and attentive once again!

Great vegan/vegetarian restaurant close to Melbourne CBD. I find that there are not many restaurants with their kind of menu in the city. When I walked past and saw the place a week before, I decided to give it a try on the weekend.

They had a quite extensive menu list and I looked up the options before I came and seemed almost everyone recommended Mongolian Beef BBQ. So I ordered that with Cha Kway Teow as well. I must say they were very tasty! The mock meat really tasted like beef! I could understand why people recommending that.

The staff was friendly and we had a quick chat after we finished our meals. Definitely going to go back to try their other dishes.

Being the only vegan restaurant in the street (the restaurants around do not even have vegan options), we were attracted by the massive yellow 'VEGAN' sign at the door. The menu is extensive and offers options for raw vegans and also for vegans that love their soy protein. The service was absolutely beautiful, we were warmly welcomed with a smile by the staff and the food was perfect! Not only tasted amazing but it looked amazing. Best Pad Thai I've ever had, perfectly cooked, the sauce was delicious (and I used to love my chicken pad thai before changing my diet). If you love your soy protein, trying the mongolian curry is a MUST. If I could give this place 100 starts, I'd give it 101.

Yummy food! Highly recommend the milk tea, Pineapple Rice and Crispy delight. Friendly service from the waiter. Nice, relaxed vibe. Will definitely return 😆👍

The gentleman who was working at the front was such a nice guy and also made excellent suggestions! I absolutely recommend the spicy eggplant, and also the raw cheesecakes were amazing and my friends didn’t believe they couldn’t be cooked! Can’t wait to come visit again

INCREDIBLE! Honestly cant fault it. The lady taking the orders has the most wonderful energy, she went out of her way to make sure every table was happy and has such a beautiful energy. The food was delicious!! Its obvious that the chef puts 100% into every meal. 10/10 for food. 10/10 for friendliness. 10/10 for atmosphere. And 10/10 for making a positive change for our planet! Food prices & service really good! We were 4 and order 3 plates was more than enough! Made room for desserts are really nice!

Wonderful place with great, friendly & helpful staff. Every time I've gone here I've had a great meal, and the Barbecue Bites are super yum!!!
Also.the fried rice is super yum too, get them to add some mock meats and fried vegan egg for an extra tasty treat!
I do wish they had a few of their Northcote dishes like the Southern Fried Chicken but otherwise I'm quite happy with this place.

Wide variety of completely vegan options on the menu and everything we ordered tasted delicious! The desserts were amazing too and the service is very nice. Also a nice creative way of serving the pineapple fried rice.

Honestly, best of the best food to go out and enjoy. Lovely amazing, over the top awesomeness. Yes I know it sounds bias, but I cannot put it in other word. Better than Smith and daughters, Better than any other restaurant vegan that I have tried. Lovely owners and great delivery. Yum yum healthy vegan food.

The food is delicious and fresh. As a Vegan its wonderful to have the whole menu to choose from! The chef/owner even came over to check how my meal was. Recommended to ANYONE who enjoys asian cuisine. Not just for Vegans.

Asking the lovely and friendly waitress what was good on the menu was a great move here. BBQ Mongolian had me fearing the taste of BBQ sauce but was nothing like it. BBQ Mongolian and coconut rice best things on this menu. 👌👌👌

Great Asian vegan place close to Queen Victoria Market.

As a vegan on her first ever trip into Melbourne, I had to try Loving Hut. And I'm so pleased to write that they didn't disappoint. It's a quiet andneat little place with a vibrant feel to it. You can hear the kitchen bustling next to you making all the food fresh to order. I ordered the Burmese salad, pan friend dumplings, Mongolian bbq and the cauli wings from the specials board. A lot of food for one person but I'll likely not get this opportunity again for a long time. Couldn't fault anything in the food or service. My meals came out quickly and were so delicious! The Burmese salad is so fresh and full of veges, the mock meats are amazing and all the dishes were full of amazing Asian flavors. If you're in Melbourne, I highly recommend visiting this place! And if you can't finish all the food, they'll pack it into containers for you so nothing goes to waste.

I loved the vegan Mongolian BBQ. My omni partner enjoyed the cruelty free fried chicken. I also recommended this place to my friend when she visited Aus. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Food AMAZING, Service FANTASTIC and we had a great time.
Went with a big group and no one was disappointed.
Food came out pretty quickly we tried all of the entrees, my favourite was probably the pan fried dumplings but they were all delicious.
I was absolutely in love with the Tom yum soup with noodles and still can't stop thinking about it.
Together we ordered the Crispy fillets, Massaman Curry with Tempeh, Palad Prig, Phad Thai, Nasi Lamak, Green curry and Mongolian Beef and Green Curry.

Can't wait to come back. My family, friends and I 100% recommend this place for everyone to visit whether your a vegan or not, I guarantee you will love it! Most of my friends and family were not Vegan and they loved every bite.

First time trying a vegan restaurant and I loved it!
Our table had the Tom yum fried rice, pineapple fried rice and jewels of the sea! YUMMM
Can’t wait to visit again to try the rest of the menu.
