The staff here are so helpful and knowledgeable. If they don't have it, there is a very good chance they can get it for you, either from one of their other stores or by ordering it in. They also have great recommendations for kids books if you're looking for a gift. Their knowledge crosses the range of age appropriate books for the very young to adults.

Wonderful service from Tim, very professional and helpful who sourced a book from the Richmond store & had it delivered by the following morning, all during a lockdown. Gave excellent advice on choosing another book then wrapped both for collection. Highly recommend this store and will def shop with them again.

Amazing book store in the heart of Albert Park village. Friendly, comfortable, well stocked, and a massive range. Deceptively large given the single street frontage, it extends quite a ways deep. Well worth a visit.

Very experienced staff. Helpful and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable in a wide range of authors. Noticeably well read that makes the shop professional and superior and a testament to why they are still around. If you're ever in Albert Park pay them a visit i doubt that you will be disappointed

If you can't find what you want here, WELL it hasn't been written yet. This is TRULY a joy to visit this store. They are all so helpful and really know their stock. I'm inspired every time i visit this DELIGHTFUL store. They have a great return policy. It's one of my XMAS go to shops. LOVE IT.

This store reignited my love for reading a couple of years ago and I haven't looked back. I am so in love with the company and the staff who work there. Fabulous selection of books, happy to order something not in stock, great in conversation events (highly recommended). Just an amazing vibe. I am so happy with Avenue that I hesitate to go to any other bookstore.

Old school large bookshop with staff who answer questions well, know what they're doing. It's really the last bastion of book shops. They do it well so they'll remain as long as possible. I fear it'll be like the buggy whip analogy, however I do praise their efforts in their atmosphere, selection and service. They gift wrap for free and have a membership club. Go upstairs to the back to experience what I think is the most relaxing part of the shop. They have meet the author sessions. It's great.

Two weeks ago I called the Albert Park Avenue bookstore from the UK to buy a giftcard for my Mum who lives locally. I have phoned them a couple of times now from abroad over the last few years and the customer service of the staff members I speak to is always amazing. They have even gone out of their way to make sure gifts arrive in time for birthdays. Hopefully, when Australia opens up for travel in the future I can while away some time instore when I next visit. Keep up the good work!

Great little bookstore to wander around and get lost in. Children's section is fantastic and they stick a wide range of classic and new children's books to suit all ages. Cook book section brilliant too. Well worth the visit and beside a great little coffee shop too. Staff always friendly and helpful

I have been a customer of The Avenue since about 1998 or so. It is a fabulous bookstore as I am sure all customers will agree. The staff are both knowledgeable and helpful (and sometimes VERY busy) and the range covers everything I can think of an more. I "hang out" for the seasonal catalogue (I live in the country) so that I can get back in for a new fix (or buy online if desperate, but that takes away the delight of being in the store and browsing). Downside - I spend so much money on great books.

Great local Bookshop. Great choice of books, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. They even have a loyalty program that earns you points every time you buy a book.
