This has to be one of my most favourite places in the city. A large bookstore with a great collection across multiple genre is surely the best place for any book lover. Ranging from latest fiction to Australian literature, manga, books for kids, foreign languages, if you can think it, they most likely will have it. One of my favourite sections is the area where books are available at prices as low as $10! You should definitely check out that section because ut holds some good stuff.

One issue that I have is the pricing for certain titles. For instance, I recently purchased a softbound copy of Yellowface by Rebecca F. Kuang from the Book Grocer at $15 which was priced at around $30 here. Why this discrepancy? So, it's better to check the prices somewhere else before coming here. They've fantastic collection, but if I can find something at a lower price somewhere else in the city I'll have to avoid this store.

The staff are friendly and approachable. Also, I had received a voucher of $5.49 that I used to purchase another book, which was sweet😄. Overall, if you're looking for your next book shopping, this is one hell of a place to do it!

An excellently stocked bookstore which survived the ravages of the online book revolution. Prices are reasonable and as a member every time you buy a book a small percentage goes on your account. A good system for prolific book readers (or at the very least for book buyers).

Attached is a cafe, which almost replicates the Borders experience from the early two thousands. The food is good, the coffee is good, but something about it feels quite shabby. Nevertheless, it is a welcome addition to the bookshop and makes an already leisurely palace of knowledge feel even more relaxing.

The library-like ambiance and vast selection make it a must-visit. Lost track of time exploring the shelves – a delightful experience for any reader!

Excellent bookstore! Great location, fast checkout, very friendly and helpful information staff- she literally walked me over to the bookshelf to help me find my book and when she couldn’t find it, went into the back stockroom to locate a fresh copy. If you’re Christmas or souvenir shopping, there’s a wonderful range of gift ideas and a charity gift wrapping desk right before the escalators for a few gold coins :)

I loooooove books, and getting lost in a huge bookshop, just perusing through blurbs and covers is one of my favourite things.
Apart from books, you can find small presents, board games and jigsaw puzzles, grab a coffee and just enjoy yourself!

One of the largest book stores in the city. Staff were attentive and courteous. Everything was organised well and good pricing too. I was here looking for some books written in French and unfortunately they don’t have any foreign language books. Wish they have a small session which showcases international collection.

Lovely big store. Cafe has gluten free sweets which was a huge bonus for a shopping break. Enjoyed a quiet cupcakes and gf Carrot cake.

Beautiful store full of all sorts of books - I only wish they stocked more light novels, but they do order for you if they're able!

I love this bookstore! It’s huge, with selections of books categorised in sections (including mangas), gifts, cards, and diaries. It’s my new favourite place now that I found out there’s even a cafe in here 😊

Always love coming back to this Dymocks, whenever I have a new book to get. The experience is always really nice and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Most recent purchase this week and a book I’m really loving already is, The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim

Amazing book store. Wide selection of books as well as gifts and stationery. The icing on the cake is handwritten book recommendations by the staffs, making book selection easier and intriguing!

One of my favourite shops in Melbourne, so many great books here that you just dont see in NZ. The trip here presented a great opportunity to stock up before the cruise!

This is one huge bookstore. Have a whole floor for itself. As a manga collector, they manga collection is up to date. I could see they also have a wrapping corner and gift corner too.

Great selection, friendly staff, and there's a lift that makes it wheelchair accessible, though some of the aisles were a bit tight for my 57mm chair I could get down all of them so long as no-one else was in the aisle too

There are so many selections for books. All the areas are clearly labelled, and the staff really know what they're doing! I asked where I could find a certain book and without even stopping to think they took me right there.

Fantastic range of books. Was able to find books that are out of stock with the majority of other book stores. Staff were very helpful.

Pretty great experience! They have all sorts of books and the staff is quite friendly as well! It's my second time coming here,and no doubt that I'll go back there again!
