Beku Gelato Carlton

I had been missing out on really nice gelatos until I tried Beku!

I had tried gelatos from other popular names out there and was a bit sceptical about Beku because their flavours were unusual.

How wrong I was! Their gelatos were exceptional. We tried their pineapple tart and it was very delicious.

The flavour was well balanced and very refreshing.

I will definitely go back to try their other flavours.

Now my favourite Gelato in the Melbourne area! We had Pandan Rice Pudding and Matcha Latte flavour. The gelato was creamy and tasted authentic. The staff were lovely and were happy to let us try some flavours. There was also take home drinks and homemade tiramisu available! Tiramisu flavours included both original and Matcha.
Will come back again!

Beku is the best. I tried the paan gelato which had a really nice, almost herbal flavour and slight savouriness that worked so well and paid decent homage to the original dish. I also tried the kulfi and the purple rice coconut flavours which were standout. There are lots of great options and they’re constantly rotating but all really complex and unique.

This place has amazing gelato. The flavors were unique and really interesting. The texture was exceptional. I got the Cendol flavor and it was just so rich in flavor. Definitely coming back to try the other unique flavors.

They have plenty of Asian flavors. Very special and tasty with gelato! I order Teh Tarik and Pandan Rice Pudding. Also the staff is friendly, I can try the taste before I choose. Would visit again to taste other flavors!

Great ice cream place! They have so many lactose-free options and are so original as well. My favorite was Ketan Hitam.

There was a long queue when we got here but it was definitely worth the wait! Lots of interesting flavors. I really enjoyed the milky lychee yuzu. So refreshing!

Highly recommend the ketan hitam (black sticky rice with coconut). And their Matcha latte Gelato is amazing too, the tea favour is strong, it tastes like Japanese ice cream.
The staff is helpful and friendly.

Black rice pudding, matcha ice cream, mango sorbet, pistachio gelato, pineapple tart ice cream and Indonesian chocolate and pandan rice pudding. We ordered all these different flavors and all flavors were amazing!

Literally every flavor was out of this world and immaculate. Pidappipo is so overly hyped - I highly recommend giving this Indonesian Malaysian inspired flavors a go. They are very competitively priced and the service was incredibly lovely also. 🧡🍧🍨

Many Asian flavoured ice cream. The staff there are really kind, they let us try different flavours before we order. I appreciate they don’t hurry us to pick a flavour even there’s a long queue.

THE best gelato on Lygon street ! Chocolate, Vanilla Bean & Raspberry Sorbet all 5/5. Great friendly service from the two girls who run the store. Try it !!!!

I updated this review to 5 star! Delicious range of unique flavours ice cream. I love the Vegan and GF options Cendol, Ketanhitam and Pandan Rice Pudding... by the tub! Great prices. Can get busy so be prepared to wait but that just means the ice cream is amazing!

I love how they have such a wide range of unique flavors <33 We had the teh tarik and injeolmi flavor but be careful with the soybean(?) powder topping on the injeolmi tho it can be quite messy when eating

Have been wanting to visit you guys but living in Geelong is quite far.
I was just amazed with all the flavours that you guys have.
Tolak angin was surprisingly not weird
Nastar (pineapple tart) was also something that I would never thought of. And it was amazing
But at the end we bought durian and ube. Durian was strong and we LOVE it! Definitely coming back when we visit Melbourne ❤

Great variety of (southeastern) Asian inspired flavours. Teh Tarik is the most popular and safest go-for gelato. You’ll love Ube if you feel like having the Filipino yam dessert.
For someone adventurous Paan is a Pakistani origin flavour to blow your mind and palette.

Tasty gelato icecream with flavours that are unique!!! Highly recommended!
