Dr. Sush delivered my second miracle baby and I couldn't have been happier. I've had a traumatic delivery through public health with my first and Dr. Sush was supportive all the through. Delivery room atmosphere was amazing. I now have my first positive experience with child birth and I have Sush to thank for that! An absolutely beautiful experience ❤

Having recently used Dr Sush for both his obstetric and gynaecological service I honestly highly recommend him.

Not only is he extremely professional but his empathy and support goes above and beyond. Having had a scare in the early weeks of my pregnancy Dr Sush was there to not only support me but also my husband. He made us feel supported through a difficult situation and helped us understand all possible options. Thankfully everything worked out and he was able to deliver our beautiful baby.

Although suffering from anxiety throughout my pregnancy I never felt like my husband and I were alone. I could contact Dr Sush at any time with any worries or questions and he would always get back to me and put my mind at ease without making me feel like a burden.

He was supportive of how we wanted my pregnancy and birth to go and I absolutely loved that he built a relationship with my daughter and that he let my husband be involved in my labour and help bring our baby into the world.

His follow up care after the birth was fantastic meaning my recovery went as smoothly as possible and any worry I had was addressed.

Several weeks after my birthing experience Dr Sush also operated on me for gynaecological reasons. Again his level of support and professionalism was above and beyond. After having a slight reaction to the anaesthetic Dr Sush made sure I was looked after, coming to check on me and asking what I needed rather than making assumptions. He ensured my recovery was as painless as possible and followed up with me a few days later to ensure I was doing ok.

We will forever be grateful for his support and care throughout what was an anxious journey. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Sushen was covering my OB when I had an emergency hospital admission at 29 weeks pregnant. It was a scary time for me and my husband but Sushen was able to provide us a very clear explanation of what was happening. He was so calm and reassuring which really helped us. Bonus point was that we found out that he and my husband went to the same school. ☺

This was my third baby and my first with Dr Sush. My previous obstetrician had retired so he kindly provided me with some of his recommendations. I was dreading the process of starting with someone new and as someone who becomes easily overwhelmed my anxiety was very high. I can truthfully say that within 5 mins of meeting Dr Sush, the fear almost instantly disappeared and I was blown away by his down to earth demeanour, professionalism and his views on empowering women. Despite having previous c sections he still went through the options available to me including maternal assisted births (which I went ahead with). Through all my appointments I felt calm and supported. Consulting out of multiple locations and offering late night consults made it extremely convenient.

I would like to highlight his support when it comes to mental health issues. Having had suffered from perinatal issues in the past Dr Sush went out of his way to discuss this in detail and ensure I received the right support through his network of mental health professionals for before and after the birth. His check in messages before and after birth to see how I am going was such a wonderful personal touch and really shows his genuine care for his patients both physically and mentally.

Truly a calming and fulfilling experience and as an obstetrics patient I highly recommend Dr Sush to anyone embarking on their journey towards parenthood.

We cannot be more grateful for Dr. Sush. He ensured a safe pregnancy journey whilst respecting and working with our pregnancy and birth preferences regardless of any challenge that was thrown at us. Dr. Sush took the time to get to know and understand us in order to support and personalise our first experience into parenthood. We had the pleasure of Dr Sush safely delivering our baby boy in January 2019, from the moment I met him, he made me feel relaxed and I knew I was in great hands.

Dr Sush was simply amazing, he is approachable, patient, considerate of my decisions, very thorough, informative and open minded about my choice of birth plan. He is very supportive and his level of care is incredible, something that every pregnant women should experience.

Pregnancy can be overwhelming with emotions, but having the right support is paramount to remaining positive and focused and I don’t think I could have got through it the way I did without Dr Sush’s positive input at every appointment.

He is brilliant at following up when pregnancy issues occur and he would touch base to see how I was going at various stages of the pregnancy, during the birth and after our baby was born. I was really impressed and thought wow what a great doctor!

I would highly recommend Dr Sush to anyone looking for an obstetrician, he goes above and beyond all expectations and it’s so nice to meet a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients and their babies even beyond the pregnancy! He has left a lasting impression and we are so grateful that he was part of our pregnancy journey.

Forever grateful to Dr Sush for delivering our girl safely. We really liked Sush from the get go. I remember driving home after our 1st consultation, with my partner and I commenting how good we felt (and this is during the peak of covid and lockdowns last year). That has not changed throughout the pregnancy and even a lengthy delivery. I'm not too keen to run to the doctors often, but with him we loved having our check ups. A very supportive, caring and experienced doctor, he never left us feeling concerned or confused. His straightforward approach empowered us to make the right choices and decisions along our pregnancy and delivery path. He respected my decisions and always provided subtle yet informed insight in risk, benefits and what ifs. Also he included my partner in every little bit which was amazing. I found out about Dr Sush through my naturopath at Fertile Ground Health Group. We met with Sush during my first pregnancy last year - and I was instantly blown away by his kind demeanor and easy going nature. When that first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage whilst my husband & I were overseas, Sush couldn’t have been more supportive & understanding whilst also being in contact with us 24/7 even though we were on the other side of the world.

When I fell pregnant soon after again, I knew instantly we would have Dr Sush as our OBGYN. He was genuinely excited to see us again and totally understood the anxiety and stress that comes with a pregnancy that follows a miscarriage. Sush would check in via text between appointments - and our appointments would go as long as we needed to ease any worry and to answer every little question we had. His manner and care truly is above and beyond. Throughout the pregnancy, my husband and I would genuinely look forward to our appointments with Sush as he added so much value to our lives. He built up such a fantastic relationship with my husband too which was so important to me.

When the time came for little Ruby to arrive, Sush was incredibly calming - clear with his communication and made the whole labour experience enjoyable due to his his level-headedness and ability to make me feel in total control. He delivered our baby beautifully (and most important healthily) and was integral to the positive birthing experience I had.

Dr Sush’s dedication to us as patients was second to none. He really cared and made the pregnancy and labour so memorable. I have a feeling before long Sush will be the most in demand OBGYN in Melbourne as people who receive his care want to shout from the rooftops how awesome he is like we want to. If you are wanting to feel understood, supported and totally cared about throughout your pregnancy - Sush is the only OBGYN to book.

A review that is better late then never. It’s been 12 months since Dr Sush came on our journey.
I wrote this review on my phone but never published as I was distracted. Mostly just thank you to an amazing, patient, understanding, funny and kind doctor.

The experience we had with Dr Sush was amazing. He was always so professional and friendly.
He always engaged with my son and husband and asked how they were, which meant a lot to me as it was their journey too.

Dr Sush helped with creating a care plan to help assist. His support and availability to ease my mind was beyond helpful.
I was so anxious and afraid that history would repeat itself when it came to birthing. The reassurance and positivity from Dr Sush helped to heal me and in turn helped me to have the most amazing birthing experience. (As well as the care from the midwives)
I never left his appointments feeling anxious about anything. He was always so calming.

I have been seen Dr Sush for around 5 years now for both Gynaecology and as an Obstetrician. He delivered our son Harvey in 2019. We have found him to be the most professional, caring and just awesome Doctor. Most recently over the last 5 months I have had 2 surgeries, the most recent being a hysterectomy. He actually took the time to explain every process which was going to be happening with the surgery. His aftercare is second to none. He is always happy to pick the phone up, no matter what time of the day.
It very disheartening to read a 1 star review saying he is uncaring and unprofessional amongst all these 5 star reviews. I had the total opposite experience with Dr Sush. He has always listened, always caring and extremely professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Choosing Dr Sush to support us through the birth of our second child in April 2021 was the best decision we could have made. After experiencing a traumatic birth with my first born I spent a lot of time researching an obstetrician who was the right fit for us and our circumstances. From our first appointment he was reassuring, supportive, and helped me feel empowered to make the best decisions for my situation. I felt safe and reassured during every stage of my pregnancy and Dr Sush was kind in including our young son through much of the journey as well. In the days leading up to giving birth I experienced some quite severe anxiety. Dr Sush went out of his way to ensure I was appropriately supported. Having a scheduled induction, he ensured I felt empowered in my decisions and was clear in his explanation of every step in the process. He ensured I felt safe and advocated for my birth preferences, which was so important to me. I will forever be thankful for the pivotal role he had in helping me have a positive birth experience. Having had such a positive pregnancy and birth has helped me heal from my previous experiences and has lead to a much happier and healthier post partum period, not only for me but for our family.

Dr Sush recently delivered our first child via elective caesarean.

We were looking for a progressive and open minded obstetrician who was willing to engage with us as equals on various decisions pertaining to my pregnancy and our baby girl.

Dr Sush exceeded our expectations on every front and completely went above and beyond in caring for our entire family. He is genuinely dedicated to the wellbeing of his patients and we never felt our needs or concerns were an imposition.

Fathers are often overlooked during pregnancy and birth but Dr Sush extended his empathy and consideration towards my husband, who found his support to be invaluable.

My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of him and would not hesitate in recommending to other patients.

Dr Sush was absolutely amazing! From my first appointment with him he went through all my possible options. We booked my surgery at the Frances Perry house, he operated and removed my endometriosis. Dr Sush help delivered my son back in March and also performed an emergency laparoscopy for me last week. I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst while pregnant but Dr Sush was able to ease my anxieties through his personal care. He was always available for questions and was in constant communication with me when I ended up in emergency due to a twisted ovary. It is evident that he will always put his patients first. I would highly recommend him and would definitely be enlisting his help when we are ready for a second child.

We were blessed with a baby boy on September 2020 amid the COVID pandemic. Actually we were supposed to go back to India but we got stuck in Melboune. It was really a tough time for us but I remember the day when me & my wife met Dr Sush. A cheerful & confident person who rest us assured that everything will be good. He understood our situation & provided the best suggestions. With our each visit we were feeling more comfortable & realising that our baby birth is in safe hand. The best thing about Dr Sush is that he always have a plan for every situation. We will always be grateful to him & would highly recommend him as well.

Dr sush delivered our baby girl in september at st Vincent's hospital. He was nothing but amazing. Even though it was my third baby he treated every appointment and milestone like it was my first, answered every crazy question I had without making me feel silly. He was calm and supportive yet very informative of every choice we had. We found Dr Sush through a newsletter at Fertile Ground. I was immediately drawn to his profile which highlighted several professional values that were a top priority for us... mainly INFORMED CONSENT.

We had our first baby 4 years earlier with a well known female OB in Melbourne. At the time I was young, clueless and had a lot of trust in the medical profession. I didn’t know the questions that I needed to be asking. I look back on that pregnancy and feel a sense of disappointment that I wasn’t informed about the benefits and risks of all procedures and plans.

As a mother who has found my tribe and shared birth stories I realised that things could have been very different with my first pregnancy and labour.

During the last four years we have experienced several negative experiences with standard/ traditional GPs and peads. When we fell pregnant with bubs number two I was adamant that things would be different. I was ready to use a midwife if I could not find a supportive OB. I was armed with info and much more confidence. I told Dr Sush what we were aiming for (ie. VBAC with no intervention). We also declined several ‘routine’ procedures after reviewing evidenced based literature regarding the benefits and risks of each.

Not once did I ever feel disrespected, judged, belittled or patronised by Dr Sush. Although he disagreed with some of our choices he respected our wishes to decline several procedures. He also briefed the peadiatrican on our wishes which helped to establish a stress free delivery.

I truly believe Dr Sush is a rare gem because doctors are far too often on a power trip. I hope the new generation of OBs will soak up the wisdom that Dr Sush has to offer especially when it comes to respect, communication and informed consent.

Dr Sush... we feel very privileged to have meet you while you still had heaps of time to spend with us. I hope you can maintain your amazing values as your practice gets busier over the years.

Sush was absolutely amazing through the pregnancy and birth or our first baby. He was lovely, down to earth guy that made us feel like friends more than just a doctor patient relationship. He was always available to answer any questions or concerns and flexible enough to make appointments should we require them. He was so approachable and professional with every aspect and having him through this journey was such a wonderful experience as first time parents. We couldn't recommend him enough! Even after birth he was still in contact to discuss any gynaecological concerns as well. A lovely person and doctor, you can't go wrong with him by your side!
