Highly reviewed and apparently expensive. Our take: higher than average cost for excellent service and food. Never expected a Chinese restaurant to be so attentive to your needs (needed more water/tea, dropping your cutlery on the floor, clearing plates). Much better than some fine dining places!

Would recommend preordering some of the seafood.dishes such as mudcrab.

The crowded entrance was a good sign of things to come and the restaurant did not disappoint. Upon entering one is greeted with tanks of live aquatic creatures for the menu, and the passage opens up to a nicely appointed interior. Food taste and quality were good while the service was on steroids (super attentive and polite). They also proactively extended a goodwill gesture for messing up one of our dishes. All the excellence commensurates with their price tag and imo, worth it for that special person and/or occasion.

PS: be mindful of the parking time limits to avoid a post meal surprise

I'll be back. Firstly the food is excellent Cantonese fare. Seafood is fresh, and veg and meat dishes are cooked just right. Service is very prompt. The restaurant is not large but it feels spacious and bright. We visited on a weeknight and half the larger tables were occupied by older folks with discernible tastes (presumably) so that's a good sign.

Refreshing to see a genuine Cantonese style seafood restaurant in Melbourne. The fried intestines and the yellow onion with egg are exceptional. A must try place!

Came here for a special occasion with family and had a very enjoyable experience. Service was great as staff were both attentive and friendly. Dishes were well-presented and the flavours well-balanced. Serving size wasnt the biggest but it is definitely quality over quantity. Will be back (especially for the impeccable abalone).

Service is good. Food is of high standard. Price is slightly higher than average but worthwhile given the service and nice environment. We paid 80 dollars for a sea perch which was steam cooked to perfection.

Sunday lunch a few days later. We had the set lunch B with fried fish. Steamed fish came to the table but replaced by an extra large serving of fried fish within 10 minutes. Lunch for 5 people is only 16 dollars per head.

Fantastic banquet menu served with efficency. Food was so fresh, especially the seafood. Servers were polite and friendly. Looking forward to returning for more delicioua Cantonese cuisine!

The interior looks modern, clean and comfortable. The staff gave a great recommendation for the steamed fish, it was so delicious and fresh! We also ordered the beef and pork dish which have nice flavours. The customer service is excellent, each staff is attentive and kind. I would highly recommend this place for an authentic Canton dining experience.

Been here several times with family and the food is always spot on and presented beautifully. One of our family’s favourite restaurants !

Delicious! Came here a couple of times with my Dad - great Cantonese restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I'm taking some work clients there tonight. I chose this restaurant as I'm sure it will be excellent again, and the classy interior makes it more special!

I recently left my purse on the chair and the restaurant staff tried by all means to contact me and kept the purse for me. I am deeply impressed by the integrity and responsible manner of the staff and grateful for their help. I appreciate the politeness and friendliness of the staff, reasonable price and quality of the food.

Food is delicious and lunchtime menu has a good selection, plus the size of the dishes are fabulous value for money..Decor is 1st class... Service could improve ..waiter's could be more sociable and attentive.

Went tonight for dinner and it was delicious!!! Everything came out quickly and the service was efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was great as well. But oh my goodness the food was fabulous, authentic Chinese food with generous serves. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Been there twice in a week during Christmas and New Year holiday period. Once with a group of friends and second time with my family.
Both visits, we were pleased with the food and service. Unsure why others gave such review.
We like the wasabi beef, crispy duck with taro, steamed fish, steamed chicken with Crystal broth,
It is 'noisy' because of the interior design - glass and hard surface.

High quality Chinese food. Very family friendly, even provided cutlery and bowls for toddler which you don't find at most restaurants or cafes.

Great food and most importantly genuine and hospitable, truly felt like I was cared for which is something that is extremely rare in this day and age.

Must try lunch cash special. Congee 1/2 fresh fish+fried noodles + 1/2 fresh fish steamed / fried + carrot cake.
Very nice , but make sure to bring cash as its a cash only special. The congee is one of the best I've had. Can order Chinese donut to go with this , but the meal is quite substantial on its own and can easily feed 3-4 people.

Really happy to have discovered this Pearl in the heart of Glen Waverley. Super food and wonderful wait staff. Look forward to trying out the other tempting dishes on that menu.
