District Hotel

We've just come home after a lovely lunch at the District Hotel in Nairne. They have just renovated the outdoor area behind the hotel into a lovely outdoor eating area. I had the crispy skin salmon with fried kale and pearl couscous and the boys had the traditional flathead fillets and schnitzel. All were well presented and cooked. It was a very pleasant lunch venue at a reasonable price.

Very pleasant. Excellent schnitzel. Recent renovations make this hotel worth visiting. Indoor rooms have historical charm. Outdoor garden and covered deck are lovely on a sunny day.

Relaxed, not busy I personally liked the setting. Able to have a conversation without back ground noise.
Prompt service. Good staff.
We had steak frite, beef schnitzel, district burger plus steam Veggies.
All were excellent.
The burger was a bit small but ok.
Plus drinks, 1 coke, 1 large pair red wine.

From a pub perspective 5 stars

Fantastic. The Barn was perfect for my birthday celebrations. Richard, Casey and staff were so helpful friendly and accommodating to provide exactly what we needed, including special diet requirements. They just made it so easy and stress free. Huge thanks.

Great place to eat, for groups or couples, especially in their shady beer garden, dinning under a canopy of trees. its near a pretty stream, Food is good and the menu varied. Except no cold salad options other than warm potatoe salad, which was tasty. Its very kid friendly offering well equipted playground and table tennis. Monday kids eat free, which makes it a bit noisy with their screams of glee as they run around playing chase. Unfortunately they have pokies, which I find very anti-social, but they are at least out of sight. But overall I liked it.

Great pub in an historic building, friendly staff, nice indoor dining, great beer garden. Good burgers, great steak, good range of local wines & beers on tap. This is a very good place for family's.

Food was fantastic. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Kids loved the play area down stairs.

We had my mother's 70th in the barn & we couldn't have asked for a better day!
The service was brilliant & nothing was too much for the staff! I have just moved to Nairne & I'm so glad the district is my new local!

What an amazing venue and staff to look after our family function. The barn is the perfect spot for an intimate gathering and Casey an amazing host.

My grandson's birthday. The staff is helpful & friendly, the food is good & plentiful. What more could you want?

We had the scotch fillet steak special and meat lovers pizza. Really enjoyed our meal. The steak was medium rare as requested and tasty veges. The pizza was good and properly cooked, not doughy. Slightly more toppings wouldn't have gone astray.
Service was quick, especially as it was the Hills Footy Grand Final night.

I had my birthday party in the Old Barn on the weekend and it was an amazing venue! The staff were so lovely and helpful, the food was sensational and the atmosphere incredible! I highly recommend this hotel!! Thanks team for a really special night.

Very tasteful renovation , outdoor area looked spectacular but it was a bit too hot, so we chose to dine inside. Very reasonably priced, huge serves and very delicious. Will definitely be back

Nice back decking, sheltered. Quick friendly service. We rang ahead and they had the yummy schnitzel ready for us. Our friends had burgers that were generously filled.
