Soban - Modern Korean Food

Nice service that does vegetarian food (kimchi and everything doesn't have anchovy).
Serving size is a bit small for the price, although it is a good size if you don't have a big stomach.

Hadn't been here in a while. Seems to have changed management since last time I visited, but the bibimbap was still great.

Food was good (but not the best!) and prices were reasonable. You can park near the train station or oakleigh central if you can't find a parking lot along the road side.

Literally one of my favourite authentic Korean restaurants to go to, its beautifully hidden in the Oakleigh district amongst all the Greek food. The food is amazing, and staff are lovely. Definitely recommend checking the place out. The place is abit old and more for a causal setting but overall definitely a delight! 🙊

The best Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to in Melbourne! Nice and cosy, super friendly staffs, and delicious Korean traditional foods, they have it all! My boyfriend and I had the seafood pancake as an entree, my boyfriend ordered the beef bone soup and we shared the main dish spicy beef ribs. I couldn’t stop saying yuuummmmm ;) I will definitely visit again with my friends and family. Highly recommend👍🏻👍🏻

Absolutely fantastic food and service. We had the Kim-chi pancake, dumplings, bulgogi and bibimbap hot pot - all the food was excellent! And very reasonably priced!

They are under new management, since June 2016. A very nice Korean family, so the restaurant vibe is very family friendly.

If you're near Oakleigh and want authentic Korean food at a good price, this is THE place to go!

An authentic Korean family restaurant, very simple and cute. Food is fresh and the kitchen is visible and looks spotless. Highly recommend! PS. When it says spicy on the menu they mean SPICY 🔥🔥🔥 delicious flavours!

Best Korean food and great services. Try some Korean traditional food such as Kong-guksu, Gukbab and Beef Ribs. My friends and I enjoyed it. Very delicious and the taste is the same as it was in Korea or better than that.

I go there for the Korean baby octopus and it is delicious! It's a small place but clean inside with constant KPop videos on the TV. I like it that they limit the amount of heat in their spicy foods and would definitely recommend it!

I’ve been here so many times! Nice hidden place in Oakleigh and the food tastes so traditional. Will recommend the donkatsu! 💯 I’ve tried the other dishes and they’re all so good 😋

Soban a hidden gem in Oakleigh, absolutely love their food! Try their Bento boxes for a healthy meal! So good!

Been here several times since they took over in July, great place for great food

I used to live across the restaurant two years ago. I love their bibimbap so much!!! Really miss it....

Wonderful place with absolute delicious food. And people very nice. Like it, and I will go there again.
