The National Theatre Melbourne

A wonderful old Melbourne theatre. Comfy chairs friendly staff and some cold beverages. They are seeking donations to do up their toilets as they had only a small handful for a large space. Felt very special being in the space. Can imagine some great performances have taken place within those walls

Fabulous historic venue. Feels like coming home as I grew up in St. Kilda. Went to the Renee Geyer memorial concert and the atmosphere was fabulous..The music is as great and the acoustics spot on. Great artists and Kate Ceberano was sublime. RIP Renee!

Excellent production of Billy Elliot by CLOC. But the Theatre need some TLC- hard seats and nowhere near enough toilets.

Very comfy seats (although old). Well maintained and clean. Plenty of detailed features, beautiful night and orchestra was brilliant. Secure carpark at Coles (underground) & a variety of restaurants within walking distance (theatre & carpark).

I have seen Chicago, in Melbourne x3, London twice and New Zealand twice. Your show was on par, the singer, acting, customers absolutely magnificent. I walked out and said I would go again. If you can get a ticket go

Went and saw 100 years of Warner Bros. It was beautiful candlelight performance with songs from famous WB films.

Highly recommended going to a show here because it's also a beautiful old building.

Great venue.

The National Theatre in St Kilda is a beautiful old Theatre that we need to cherish for many more generationstocome. It would be a great thing if the state government did more to upkeep this amazing place in Melbourne.

great little theatre. Seats are old and tightly packed, but comfortable enough. Great view of the stage from all seats.

What an absolutely stunning performance by the musicians (Invictus Quartet) and also the ballet dancers. Candlelight Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake & More is our favourite concert to date.

Lots of stairs! The theater itself is very cozy and has real theatrical flair. You can see clearly from all the seats. There are no bad seats which makes it fun.

CLOC are a regular theatre production company who perform at the National. While the building is dated, the seating have wonderful views of the stage and still kept the ambience of a grand theatre.

Great place I was here for the earthquake fundraiser. Great work guys for donating the theatre and thank you to all the volunteers.

We came to the musical review on Sunday the 18th June ant 1 o’clock and were delighted in the presentation and the professional way the show was delivered.
Our Granddaughter Caitlin Firth was in her first show and had a wonderful experience, her older sister Payton wants to join as well. Your staff looked after me as I’m in a wheelchair and they were so obliging. I do hope to be supporting your Theatre again.
