Bushland Dingo Haven (call before visiting)

What a fantastic experience visiting Gill and her Dingoes. I also bought 3 books which she happily signed for me. Please donate generously so she can continue looking after these beautiful Australian animals.

This place is definitely worth visiting! Call first as Gill works alone and isn't always there.

It's amazing seeing the different coloured dingoes from all different parts of Australia, and seeing how different their temperament is to domestic dogs. Apart from the standard tan colour, there are some black and dark brown ones, plus Alpine dingoes which are much lighter in colour. Puppies are gorgeous and cute when they're around!

Gill is a bit gruff, but she cares for, feeds and maintains all these dingoes out of her own pocket with no financial support so she's doing it tough. She is a wealth of knowledge, but be ready to ask questions - don't expect to be spoon fed information or handed glossy brochures.

Please support her with a decent donation to help her continue caring for these creatures. A recent vet bill for one animal was $7000! Anything is better than nothing, but consider about $10 per person as a guide.

The person who owns this Haven for dingoes gave us a great tour around and showed us the different dingoes on the property. Lovely looking dogs. Just call ahead to make a booking. It's great to know there's a local sanctuary for dingoes, an Aussie icon and amazing creature.

What Gill does here is nothing short of amazing. If you’re in the area, you absolutely MUST visit. And remember to bring a cash donation for the dingoes’ food, as this sanctuary gets no government funding.

It’s obvious that Gill’s tamer dingoes absolutely adore her, and even the dingoes that are much less fond of humans seem to have respect for her. All her animals, tame or not, are extremely well cared for and look very healthy. She treats each one as an individual (even though there’s 40+ dingoes in the sanctuary) and will tell you in detail what all their stories are. I absolutely loved my visit here and I’ll definitely be back.

Real highlight of our trip! As is mentioned in the title you've got to call ahead, Gill runs a one woman business and she could well be out busy with one of her babies and of course they'll come first. We had the most beautiful tour around Gill's sanctuary complete with background of each dingo and even got to meet a few up close, a real gem. Thanks for having us Gill, it was amazing to meet you!

One of the best experiences I've ever had! Gil took the time to walk us through all of the dingo enclosures and let us get up close and personal with some of the pups. It's obvious how much she loves and cares for these beautiful creatures. Highly recommend stopping by if you're nearby.

Gill takes such good care of the dingos (and a wild dog), they are all looking very healthy and happy. She named all her dingos, knows all their personalities and likings and ancestry. All her dingos are so friendly. They are happy to see her and are curious to see new people. Her understanding of dingos have helped many in the study of dingos, she had written a few books about dingos which was published.

Gill is so knowledgeable about the dingoes. it was a pleasure to visit her farm.

Amazing place and inspiring owner who looks after the dingoes by herself. Need to call in advance to check if they're open before visiting. We offered a donation to help with the care of the dingoes as it's a private property and there is no fee to enter. Gill, the owner, has also written some books on dingoes which you can buy if you want. Great place!

Gill is an incredible woman, blessed to have had the possibility to discover her dingos!
