We came just before 8pm when the kitchen closes and managed to have a salmon starter and duck main plus garlic bread and a special dessert rice pudding brûlée.

Also had a non alcoholic pina colada and a Pinot Grigio.

Service was excellent and staff were all welcoming and friendly. The decore was quirky and it seemed like the other patrons all enjoyed their experience too.

There’s art works for sale and a 80s sound track kept us entertained . Drop in if you’re in Deloraine !

Staff were awesome and I watched some difficult customers they were dealing with in an amazing way. Ordered this delicious Ruben Sandwich 🥪 yum! Highly recommend 👍

Food was exceptional and extremely good value for money. There was a very kid friendly area off the side of the main cafe. A private room with lots of toys that could be closed off. Great if you've got toddlers. Highly recommend.

Whilst searching for somewhere to have breakfast on a Sunday morning in Deloraine, with most cafes closed and looking for something more substantial than was offered at the local bakeries we discovered Cycles @ The Empire. This cafe is located on the ground floor of the historical (c.1900s) two storey hotel on the town's main street, Emu Bay Road (not far from the bridge over the Meander River).

Being a Sunday morning there was plenty of on-street parking in front of the hotel. We were not certain what to expect but it was relatively well patronised which was promising. We manged to score a free table near one of the windows looking out, so plenty of light on a cool morning.

I went with the pesto eggs and broccolini - it was so fresh, vibrant and absolutely scrumptious - made my taste buds sing, certainly not what I was expecting. My wife found her meal equally as delicious - no sharing this time around.

Given that we were just passing through Deloraine, we didn't get a chance to try an evening meal, maybe next time. I can thoroughly recommend their breakfasts - kudos to the chef/cook.

Gotta love a traditional Ruben sandwich with all the pickles and melted cheese 🧀 🤤 This place is reasonably priced and the service is really quick and friendly too.

Stopped here for lunch. We chose a window seat looking out on the passing traffic and pedestrians of Deloraine. It was very pleasant. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and the table service was friendly and efficient. We both choose the fish and chips and were more than satisfied with the food and the serving. Likewise a good drinks menu and faultless attention to our drinks need. We do not not normally indulge in desserts but today we did.

Lovely staff, quick service, great coffee; food was superb and was exactly what you would expect. Couldn’t ask for more and left feeling full, healthy and happy. Will recommend to our friends back home if they travel through Deloraine.

Met for 4.30pm free platypus tours with Bob, highly recommended for local knowledge and A+ dedication to environment. Good for adults and kids -- reliable platypus sightings. Stayed for a meal at the place that kicked off this tradition. Yum food, great service, warm fire, happy family. Top night out, thanks.

Tasty and fancy grilled chicken salad. The salad was wrapped in a cucumber slice bowl. Good place to stop if you're in Deloraine.

Quick stop for lunch. We had the roast chicken focaccia, beef burger, and a kid's spag bol. All were nice, maybe a touch sweet. The wait staff were very pleasant and helpful. The AFL final was in so a touch noisy but not too bad. Nice place to stop

We were a bit late to lunch and we squeezed in with 5 mins until kitchen closed.
The staff was still very friendly regardless and we had THE best Rueben Sandwich ever.
Thanks guys

My first time on Deloraine and I’m so glad I found this beautiful cafe. Tristan, Emelyn and Victoria are the sweetest staff one could ever encounter - super friendly with the biggest smiles and absolutely know their stuff! We had the best Chai and Iced Moccha of our lives haha. And then I got the sweet potato pumpkin soup (soup of the day) and am almost lost for words of how amazing it was. Great portion and absolutely impeccable taste. I want to say that eating it was truly an experience :D If I’m ever in Tassie again, this will definitely be one of my stops. Highly recommend! Thank you guys 🙏🏽
