Loved it, so nostalgic. Magnificent original structure with new modern buildings surrounding it. Great vibe, would be really nice on a warm summer night to stroll the grounds and have a drink. Would like to do the tour next time.

A wonderful blend of modern & historic!
I am amazed as well as pleased to see what has been achieved behind the bluestone walls. The block tours are very informative and well worth it. There's a small shopping precinct plus eateries/ restaurants and a brewery with outdoor beer garden. There's even a small playground for the little ones.
I love that many areas of the goal have been retained and are unchanged.
If only those bluestone walls could talk, they would have many a story to tell!

I enjoyed a fascinating evening tour of this ex prison. The informative guide gave an introduction to the prison and then handed out iPads which activated in certain cells providing a fascinating insight into the horrors if this establishment when it was a gaol.

Amazing! Really nice cinemas, not the biggest but definately gold class quality. Only been for 1st time recently watching Talk to me! Highly enjoyed the experience.
Cant wait to go again soon

quite remarkable what you can do with an old prison, they've kept so much of the best features of the original structures and repurpose them for modern use, you won’t know what’s behind the stone walls until you go in to explore, It’s another world behind the old prison stone walls, just realised an entire commercial area exists there with cinema, shops, supermarkets and restaurants. This old prison are very clean, ample parking space with wheelchair access. There are benches out in the front to bask in the sun while enjoying coffee. Did I mention there are Brewdog there? I really enjoyed my stay here.

Bustling little centre with heaps of choice! Brew Dog, palace cinemas and a few restaurants to choose from! Great little gem to pop in and enjoy a night out with friends or family!

An absolute historic treat complete with atmosphere!!

Visited here as the Distinguished Gentlemans Ride finished here in 2023. Nice grassed areas as well as the historic jail. Shops, eateries apartments, and cinema are within the complex. I would definitely recommend a visit to this site if you get the chance. I think you can even do jail tours, which would be a unique experience.

Interesting place to catch up for coffee with friends or for a date night. The jail has been converted to an entertainment venue, with cafes, restaurant and cinemas inside the campus.

Love walking up to Pentridge. I can wander through the piazza, have a coffee, get some groceries, have a drink outside at brew dog, and feel the history of the place seep through. So great that a place of inhumane horror has been used for something better now.

Great vibe.. these days. Well preserved and interesting.

2022: It's quite remarkable what you can do with an old prison.
The build's taken some time and it's noticeably unfinished in the back section.
What can be explored within the walls is a developing collection of stores, that expected of a mall.

It makes me so happy to see how the old jail has been transformed. Well done, everyone, on such an amazing use of this iconic Melbourne landmark. Can't wait to come vack.

First time there great job in turning it into a place to visit

I was in awe of the great changes being made especially to the open air public areas with beautiful old buildings, trees and grass areas not to mention the kids playground and water feature. The shopping centre was mostly closed being Good Friday but the cinema looks great and will definitely check out a movie here soon.

So convenient to be able drive the car almost to the door, free parking after 6pm !! Nice clean and attractive decor, restaurants close by, and reclining seats in every theatre. Seriously, what could be better. !!

Did the H block night tour here. Our tour guide Louie was wondrful. He was very informative and had a good sense of humour, too. The grounds are beautifully designed.

Can't get enough of Pentridge, great for kids to hang and play. The restaurants have excellent food and that fandangled IGA is the best. However nothing beats the Palace Cinemas Pentridge for those film festival vibes. All in all a great place for the whole family to enjoy.

Amazing revamp of Pentridge. Open air movie screenings and free parking after 6. Indoor palace cinemas have full electric reclining chairs and are super comfortable. Definitely a nice spot for a late flick.

Pentridge Shopping Centre is outstanding and very well positioned. New shops, plus much more excellent accommodation. Is a fantastic and unique environment. 10 out 10. Lovely and worth the effort and time to enjoy what's provided.
