Gellibrand Point Nature Recreation Area

Best views especially from the top of the mountain! Worth going to!!

One of my favourite short walks in the Greater Hobart area. I just hope the construction of a golf course doesn’t stuff it up for the non-golfing majority.

Ended a long run up the South Arm at this reserve. You get great views up the River towards Hobart and a good perspective of the Eastern Shore. It is bare and exposed so expect it to be windy.

Great easy walk

Beautiful track that runs for about 8km if you want to do the full loop. Very easy terrain, ideal for a family day out. Plenty of side trails to small beaches if you want to dip your feet in the clear water. Would recommend for anyone who wants a simple bush walk but don't want to drive too far out of Hobart. Check out the pictures I uploaded.

A stunning yet underrated piece of Tasmania. An hour's walk will see you skirt the coast, or, add another hour or two and explore the magnificent coves and pebble beaches. Wide pathways are cut by council to facilitate walking and cycling. Great location for alternative photographic views of Mt Wellington and Hobarts Western shore.

Great walk. Not too long, not too steep, some of the best views in Hobart. It's a travesty they're turning it into a golf course.

A little bit of a trek to get to, but gorgeous while you're there. Can highly recommend taking a picnic blanket and a few snacks; not much else around aside from the corner store in Opossum Bay.

Arm end is a great place to take in views of the river derwent and across to Hobart. When there is a Norwest through to Northeasterly wind, you may even get to enjoy watching paragliding pilots at play too!

Just discovered this place and loved it. Great for a walk, a swim or a picnic. We even got to watch a couple of paragliders soaring on the wind

Wonderful nature reserve, easy walk. Fairly level walking surface but not suitable for pram or wheelchair.

Wonderful, unspoilt. Inspiring walk around the circuit. Visit it now before the developers and their golf course trash it.

Great views of the Derwent River and a relaxed area to walk. Great walking tracks, short and long.
