Came for lunch again, finally after visiting three years ago and being impressed. It's still just as good. Beautiful drive and scenery. A great assortment of consumable goodies for sale. We had the Vineyard tasting platter for two which was delicious, although they could afford to be less stingy with the pinot paste!!

Totally unique winery experience, the location of this winery is in a spectacular valley surrounded by tall timbers and mountains. Arrived late 4.40pm and was welcomed by staff member in the tasting room whom gladly provided samples from the fortified wine selection. The blueberry fortified wine is too die for, and in hindsight wished I had purchased more.
It was a pleasure to meet the owner Rob, whom has built a marvelous vinery with an equally impressive fortified wine product range.
The parring of Rob's wines with some of the food from two specialty food outlets from Hobart such as Jean Pascal's Patisserie and Lipsombe Larder, would be a extraordinary culinary experience
Will definitely visit again on my next vacation

Well worth the drive up the hill to this beautiful historic location. Our host Jess was very welcoming and knowledgeable, and the wine tasting was fantastic! The rainy weather just added to the atmosphere and experience.

My partner and I visited a few vineyards in the area and this was our last stop. We were so happy that we stopped by as the service and selection of wines was incredible! Michael really made the tasting special and answered all of our questions. He was really knowledgeable and his passion for wine making made the experience very memorable. The usual array of wines were delicious, as were the fortified wines (something I never would have tried prior, but we left with a few bottles). Would highly recommend a visit!

As someone who has never experienced a wine tasting before, I was so glad that we visited Hartview and were fortunate enough to have Michael as our host. Love their fortified wines, will visit again when next in Tassie.

Family friendly and well worth the drive! We did the tastings and bought a couple of bottles. They have lovely wines I especially like their rose but their liqueurs make them unique especially their Apple mead. Also really good to take kids, an ice cream and access to their big box of toys in their tasting room and we were free to enjoy the tastings in peace. The tastings are paid ($5 for choice of 5 or $10 for all 5 wines and 7 liqueurs waived with any purchase) but the server was very friendly, very knowledgeable and provided a great experience. They also have heritage listed picker cottages that you can tour at your leisure. Highly recommended!

Location is excellent. Bri was fantastic; she walked us through the wine tasting and was incredibly hospitable and friendly. The historic element of the huts was also an interesting addition to the experience. Would definitely recommend the Spicy Apple mead, served warm.

Have lunch overlooking iconic vineyard scenery, visit the historic pickers huts on site, sample & buy a range of wines, fortified wines & liqueurs. Spiced Apple Mead is of special note! Beautiful drive to get there from Eggs & Bacon Bay or Cygnet. Well worth the visit!

So worth the drive! Tasting 5 wines and 7 liqueurs for $10 or put that towards the purchase of a bottle to take home. Take a stroll around the pickers huts and have a peak inside, there is some history preserved.

Well designed coffee and dining areas with very fine local made wines to go with very delicious served food. A family owned and operated business with the most graceful hosts. The surrounding views over the vineyards to the Hartz Mountains draws the visitor's gaze down the valley to the majestic Huon River. This is one of those treasured spots that I have discovered and Hartzview continues to be a special place for a lovely visit. No doubt I will visit again.

We have been regular visitors to Tasmania & we would often stay down at 7 Mile Beach.
I regard Tasmania as the last bastion of 'Hidden Treasures' when it comes to 'Food & Wine' products and not to forget its magnificent/pristine 'Flora & Fauna'.
This is proven in the testimonials by our famous Australian Chefs & World renowned Chefs.
As a passionate follower of 'Fortified Wine' I discovered one of those rare hidden gems being the HARTZVIEW VINEYARDS located in Gardners Bay Tasmania. .
Every time we visited Tasmania I would pick up more than a few bottles of their irresistible/mouthwatering range of Fortified Wines ((Blueberry, Blackberry etc) available.
A 'Must Do' visit to the HARTZVIEW VINEYARDS will make you come back for more, as you will be treated like Royalty by Robert & Anthea.

But, not to be despondent due to the current travel restrictions, I was able to contact HARTZVIEW VINEYARDS and speak to Anthea and continue to get my favorite Wines delivered to Victoria at a very reasonable price.and time frame.

Can''t wait to get back to Good Old Tasmania and visit HARTZVIEW VINEYARDS.

Cheers till then!

Gary & Margaret.
