Ferntree Thai Restaurant

Had a delicious meal.
Ordered the green chicken curry, pad cashew nut, jasmine rice, and roti with satay sauce. The only bit I didn't love was the satay... not to my taste.
Everything else was delicious... prob too delicious, I definitely over ate! 🤣🤷‍♀
... And will definitely be back!

Fantastic little place. We will be back. We had a fantastic meal, service was lovely and food was delicious. We had Pad Thai, green curry and chicken satay skewers. We were there late, so we were the only people there. Thanks for a great dinner.

Great food, good portions, Pad Kee Mao was amazing, Stir Fry Basil and Chilli was also delicious! The thai green curry was good, but was a bit too sweet and mild for my liking, partner enjoyed it thoroughly though! Service was excellent, very quick cooking time, was in and out less than 45 mins which was perfect as we were in a hurry.

I had experience here again. It’s still nice, especially chicken skewers, golden bags and basil and chili stir fry. Yum!!!

If you’re looking for excellent Thai food, this is where to come. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, flavour is incredibly authentic - like we were back in Thailand!! Some of the best satay we’ve had. Service also excellent and prices extremely reasonable. We’ve ordered both dine in and take away and has been fantastic every time. Highly recommend!!

We are visiting from Singapore and while we have had some seriously good Thai food in our lives, Ferntree Thai Restaurant offers lovely, crispy calamari and yummy Pad See Ew (fried cellophane rice noodles with beef). We also ordered green curry prawns (understand that it’s super mild as adjusted to Australian tastebuds) and the stir-fried beef with vegetables in oyster sauce - I think less sugar would do the trick but portion was generous and we enjoyed our dinner here. By the way the banana roti with ice-cream was the perfect treat to cap the meal. Awesome, warm service, too. Thank you!

Friendly and fast service. Reasonably priced.
We had the Red Duck Curry, the Yellow Curry with chicken (with sides of jasmine and coconut rice), the Tom Yum Soup and Satay Chicken Skewers for entree.
We barely had to wait for our meals, it was three of us and the servings were generous enough to share. Special mention to the skewers and the red duck curry.
The decorations, furniture and tableware contributed to the nice atmosphere.
Would definitely go back, and recommend.

The first time I went to Ferntree Thai was with friends who lived in Thailand many years ago. Being inner city dwellers, they hadn't eaten out in Ferntree Gully before. Anyway, they loved the food and thought it was very authentic Thai. I have been back several times since and the food is always fresh, flavoursome and on time when I've chosen take-away. Highly recommended.

Quality and value all round

Just moved to Ferntree Gully recently, desperately for a Thai food. Stop by at this restaurant near the station. Surprisingly their food is quite authentic and tasty. Had the Beef Massaman Curry, its creamy and rich in flavor. I reckon its the best one around here. The service is absolutely beautiful as well. Will come back another time to try their stir-fried dishes.
