Woongooroo Estate Winery

47 of us arrived at Woongooroo Estate to be greeted immediately by Phil. He delighted us with a selection of bush poetry & fun facts. Morning tea was served with a lovely selection of pikelets & a lamington. Being a hot day, cold bottled water was aplenty on the tables. The educational wine tasting was brilliant, a plethora of knowledge was shared. The bottles of wines & port that were tasted were available to purchase. Lunch of roast chicken, leg ham and a selection of salads was plentiful and fresh. Five volunteers were given a script and performed a Radio Play for their fellow travellers, lots of laughter. Dessert of apple crumble with custard and cream served with a tasting of port was well received. To end our time at Woongooroo is walked to the Alpaca/Llama paddock, accompanied by the Estate dog that happily enjoyed all the scratches and pats during the day. If you’re looking for a down to earth experience, this is it.

Lovely and intimate winery tucked away in some beautiful hills, just outside of Brisbane metro.

The hosts are wonderful, cheery and friendly plus their wine is great as well!! We booked a table for lunch and the food was a nice compliment to the wine tasting.

They also have llamas that are friendly, if you are in to talking to long necked sheep.

TOTALLY 5-STARS (I would give 10 stars if they were available). We absolultely enjoyed the friendly and informative service; the wines were great; and enjoyed the unique interaction with the llamas. The perfect day out and highly recommended

Our personable host, Phil, was beyond knowledgeable! He guided us through discovering the wine, then the pairing with ample cheeses! I learned a tremendous amount and thoroughly enjoyed each sip and bite! The wine and the cheeses were divine!

What a wonderful find today. The husband and I enjoyed a very yummy steak panini along with a wine tasting. The wine is excellent and well priced, needless to say we have stocked up on a few varieties. Phil and Gail are super hosts and we will definitely be back for the Alpacas Walks. What a fantastic place to spend some time. Llamas, wine tasting, meal and entertainment. Not only is Phil a great bush poet, he, on a Gibson guitar, and his wife, a fiddle, played and sung a couple of farewell songs for our bustrip. Nearly forgot, lunch was scrumptious.

My parents were visiting so we decided to try this local boutique winery and we had a fantastic time. Phil and Gail were wonderful hosts, taking the time to explain their wines and tell us about their winery. The food was absolutely delicious (and well priced), and the wine was superb. I highly recommend a visit to Woongooroo Estate Winery and look forward to returning there myself in the future.

We had a wonderful morning at Woongooroo Estate Winery. Phil went out of his way to make us feel accommodated and the wine is superb. Even after our meal Phil took us to meet the llamas and alpacas. Would highly recommend.

Phil and his family (and loveliest dog Roxy) were so welcoming and friendly! Not only did we enjoy an informative and delicious wine tasting, but we also learned a lot about Pome fruits, palate types and the like.
Overall a lovely way to spend the morning on our visit to the Somerset region, and taking home a few tasty drops. Would highly recommend for a boutique tasting experience with heart.

We had such an amazing time at Woongooroo Estate Wineyard! Phil was very warm and welcoming and took the time to explain everything while we were tasting the delicious wines. He even went the extra mile of telling us a piece of bush poetry (which we were not familiar with but enjoyed very much). The location of the wineyard is gorgeous, very peaceful. A wonderful experience, would recommend it to anybody! Plus we are bringing home some excellent wine :)

Such a beautiful spot! Went for the taste testing. Very knowledgeable and very personable. Phil was very hospitable. The best thing about the tesing was not only the amazing wine but the facts and storys behind each wine. ill be back for sure!

I have been there a few times and the service is wonderful and the wines delicious. Normally o my drink red wines but this place has shown me there are some delicious white wines. Check out their wine tasting, definitely worthwhile.

Woongooroo Estate Wines is a lovely family run winery on the doorstep of Brisbane - Phil and Gail were wonderful hosts and the wine was very flavoursome! Would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back and enjoyable winery experience 🍷

We went to this Winnery with a group of 8. Its was the most enjoyable experience for all of us.Phil and Gail are the nicest hosts. We had the ploughmans lunch which was enjoyed by everyone. Would certainly recommend this Winnery to everyone.
