Landsborough Lodge Motel

We stayed here on our way to the outback, the motel was great value and had everything we needed - We particularly loved the attached restaurant with great vegan options and friendly staff. The rooms were modern and clean and we had a restful sleep. Thankyou :)

The rooms are quite aged, but considering the cost they are excellent value for money. The service we received from the initial phone call was second to none. We were offered a larger room and offroad car parking for both of our vehicles and trailers, which was extremely appreciated. We also had our dogs with us and they too enjoyed the room, the grassed lawn and the quiet location. We ordered room sercice and the food was excellent and on time. We will definitely stay here again when travelling west.

We dined in the restaurant last night for my daughters birthday and our table left impressed and very satisfied with our meals they were bloody delicious. All meats were cooked to our order Diane sauce was delicious. I love a good veggie fix dish so I went with the Broccoli salad and yum scrumptious could have kept eating that one. Best get in early it fills fast

My daughters and I stayed in a lovely room. Shannon was absolutely lovely. The service is outstanding. Their restaurant was nice and welcoming, the food was amazing. We will always be staying here in future when we travel.

This was a really nice motel - large rooms, very clean, well appointed and decorated. The staff were really friendly and helpful in all ways - even posted my phone charger back to me after I left it in our room! Would definitely stay there again.

Thank you Landsborough Hotel - for the clean and stylish place to rest and the excellent meal. You deliver a standard that would nearly assume remoteness is no obstacle. We appreciate your efforts.

Very friendly and quick to rectify a problematic mini bar/fridge. Bathroom was clean, main room was good. Also returned a couple of items I'd left behind - thanks Shannon.

My husband and I have stayed at the Landsborough Lodge a couple of times. The rooms are spacious and clean and the management go the extra mile. In fact we recently had to arrange last minute accommodation and they came to our aid with little fuss. The restaurant also provided excellent meals.

Having stayed in over 20 motels on our trip through Queensland, some at a much much higher price point… only one other stacked up against the Landsborough Lodge Motel, and that was the Waltzing Matilda Motor Inn in Charlleville… both had exceptional staff, were very welcoming and thoroughly clean!

Just note… compared to the others, there was no comparison in the cleanliness… these were about the best we have ever stayed in; in that respect, and we do travel a lot!

And the beds were very comfortable and the rooms tastefully decorated, and the bathrooms nice and clean and well laid out, and the shower has enough water flow to make you think you are standing under a waterfall if you turn it on flat out!

Now we stayed at the Landsborough Lodge Motel for 4 nights, but we had eaten here before on our way through to Longreach at the Turf and Surf restaurant in house… simply the best food in the area hands down, but most importantly they catered to our very specific dietary needs very well… no cross contamination issues with this kitchen I assure you!

They do really care and it shows!

As I am a very strict vegetarian… a rarity in outback QLD apparently, to have a restaurant on site that catered to a vegetarian diet was very welcoming… my partner also has other dietary issues, but she eats meat and seafood and really enjoyed the offerings… especially the Surf & Turf and the Garlic Prawns.

If you are a vegetarian, the vegetarian parmi is so tender, it melts in your mouth, and it is is cooked in a fryer that only cooks ships otherwise, so no cross contamination issues there… to also be able to have chips was a nice treat as well.

The managers really go out of their way to make your stay pleasant, and even cooked a special meal for me on request!

We will be back for sure, and base ourselves here for a couple of weeks next time, as it was that good… there is a a lot to do in the area!

Now I’ll explain my ratings, rooms, the air conditioning while very cold, is a little bit noisy, they are older units and are slated for replacement, but it is a very expensive process to replace them, and they don’t wish to push the prices up to bring that forward quicker, I understand that, just pointing it out, so put it on early as it does get the room very cold, and we found that once you had the room cold just using the ceiling fan when sleeping was fine, even when it was well over 36˚C during the day and not getting below 26˚C overnight.

Staff… I wish I could double the rating and give them 10 stars… everyone was exceptionally friendly, and could not do enough to make your stay the best it could be!

Location, keep in mind it does front onto a rather busy highway, but the speed limit is 60KM/h and you really don’t notice the truck traffic after 8PM, as most of it is off of the road by then.

All in all a very enjoyable stay, we will be back for sure, and the Landsborough Lodge Motel will be one of the main reasons we will base ourselves here in the area.

Oh also you can get Premium Diesel from the Mobil, one of the few sources in outback QLD!

Stayed 1 night on our way to relocate to a new home. These guys go above and beyond as we where traveling with pets. The food was brilliant. Highly recommend. 10 stars from us.

Such a lovely surprise to be able to get a pet room for myself my little dog n cat in Barcaldine The room was lovely n spacious n clean in perfect location with the restaurant Lovely friendly host I now know where to stay next time with my fur babies ❤

Stayed 4 nights for business. Shannon the manager was awesome. Nothing was problem. The rooms were large, clean and well appointed. My room had an interconnecting door however the room was quiet and had a great nights sleep. Will stay again. I used the restaurant, Surf and Turf for room service for dinners and breakfast. I have left a review on the restaurant page.

Stayed for four nights while working locally. Lovely clean and tidy room and comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were lovely well cooked with fresh veggies ( not frozen). Would recommend to all to stay here. Will be back again

Really clean room with plenty of space, and super people running it. Able to do laundry easily. Highlight was our meal in the restaurant. Best by far on a 5 week Qld holiday, and great value for money!! I chose the "small" steak thinking the 450 gms must have been a misprint - it wasn't!! Partner chose pork chops - 2 large sized chops, beautifully cooked. Served with really fresh salad, and lovely hot chips!!

Had a great stay! Customer service was fantastic and the rooms were great for what we paid. Also got to try out their restaurant and would absolutely recommend checking it out if you're in the area. The food was amazing and we honestly can't wait to go again!! 10/10 would recommend

Great couple of nights spent here for work, huge rooms, updated bathrooms but the standout was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Will definitely be requesting this accommodation next time I come to Barcy.

Awesome service, pet friendly, couldn’t ask for any more.
