Barcaldine Rec Park

Fantastic work done by the local council and committee, this is a fantastic attraction for the whole community to use for generations to come. Some much effort has been put in and will be fantastic to see lots of boats and people using it. Cant wait to take the kids down and watch on the banks. The facilities are beautiful. Town should be very proud of it.

Great place for a family day out good food at the cafe

Really nice spot for a swim, nice clean cool water.

It would benefit from some permanent shade facilities on the banks of the lake.

It's worth 5 stars but while I was in the shower a staff member, assumed the person who runs of the Cafe next door, harassed me while IN the shower that the showers are $5.
I rang the council and this is NOT true all facilities are provided as a courtesy of the council.

Other then that, WOW, thankyou Barcaldine council you've set the bar very high, beautiful clean sand and water, hot clean showers, you've out done yourselves, too bad there is slimy locals trying to take advantage of kind travellers.
