Mervyn Roy’s —> Golden times is actually an amazing transition! ☺ The vibe, food, and the team are so great! Each layer of food is full of flavour and I tried the long roll with the braised eggplant which is a flavor bomb! In love with the iced coffee too 🌸🍃

My “go to” coffee shop on the Southern Gold Coast. I’ve never had a bad coffee here & the girls remember me and my order every time. It’s often seconds away from ready by the time I get to the counter to order it😱👏🏆!! Amazing. Such a funky place with cool vintage decor. I’m sure I saw a teapot there we had as a kid growing up 🤣. Great family business to support.

Love it. Great coffee. Small selection of food. Location is awesome. Very cool.

DELIGHTFUL CAFE

I stopped in at this cafe mid morning during a bicycle ride. The cafe can be easily identified by the bicycles mounted on the awning roof. Although there were a number of customers present my coffee arrived in no time. The baristas and serving staff were so accommodating and friendly. The coffee was not bitter and not strong, it was smooth and I really enjoyed the flavor. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and accessibility is confined to the outdoor area. This is a dog friendly cafe. My table number handed to me was a cute UNO Card held by a large wooden peg.

Great coffee, lovely friendly service, fresh menu at a great price. Smashed avo with egg and house made granola with fruit and coconut yoghurt. Yum 👍🤩

Was recommended to try this place by a property manager from where we stayed. Glad we took his advice. Definitely not your standard fry up joint. Food was sensational, awesome menu full of stuff that is way too hard to do at home, but still something for everyone. Serving size was definitely enough to get you through to tea time. Service was fantastic, mainly young, bright and friendly backpackers. Atmosphere is super, not a hipster joint, but a little quirky and done very well. We enjoyed our Saturday brekky so much that we returned on the Sunday. The only hiccup we had on the Sunday ( we went at a much busier time) was that the poached eggs had obviously been sitting on the pass for too long and were basically cold hard boiled eggs. However, they score more points, as when we were aaked how the meal was, I pointed out the eggs, and within a couple.of minutes freshly cooked poached eggs were brought out to us. Thumbs up to this place, highly recommend.

Delicious food with wonderful veg options. Great coffee. Cute indoor and patio seating right near the airport and the beach. I recommend the Mushroom Toast.

Was looking for a place in Tugun for GOOD coffee. We tried a cafe in the main area (coffee not so good), Mervyn Roy’s is in the opposite direction and stands alone along a fairly quiet side road strip with the beach within a stones throw walk. Coffee was great! And the roasted breakfast wrap was delicious! The cafe itself was spacious and chill. The owners were very cool and kudos to the chef for the wrap we’ll defo be back! Bought myself a bag of coffee beans to bring back to Brisbane to enjoy.

Team here treats you like family. We were staying nearby and they knew my coffee order from the first time. Turkish eggs with the spiced butter was delish!

Easily the best coffee and breakfast on the gold coast. The staff are so lovely and the place is comfy and easy to get to. We had such a great experience every morning of our holiday, thanks guys.

Incredible cappuccinos and delicious food. I got the eggs benny croissant and was blown away by the flavour. Definitely grab brunch if you’re in the area!!

The food was fantastic, and generous too. Classic Bacon and egg roll with actual crispy bacon, perfect eggs and lashings of a great BBQ sauce.
I also had an iced mocha perfect on a warm day.

Staff connected with everyone that came through the door and majority of them on a personal level. Service was brilliant.

And the decor was intimate, retro and fun. Only complimented by the young girls' playlist, just awesome.

Great funky cafe. Coffee is excellent. The fresh baked scones are a delight. Decor is eclectic retro-old-school and is very enjoyable to checkout during your meal.
We particularly like the Vespa in the cafe used as a display area for the sourdough breads and scones.

Fresh, delicious, and made with love. I had the corn fritters with avo, tomato and spinach with a spicy, amazing relish. I could eat that every day of my life! This cafe has it all! Great food, spectacular coffee, and the friendliest of service. Love it to bits!

Superb homemade food and retro ambience. Lots of family photo and dog friendly too if you sit outside.
