Shoal Bay Holiday Park

Fantastic park. Great location next to pristine waters and great views. The park itself was well maintained, the check in procedure was great, and the facilities were exceptionally clean. The campgrounds and sites can be quite crowded or close together I guess but each space had ample room

Camping spot was good. Amazing access to two beaches. Great facilities and camp kitchen. Well managed. Facilities were very clean, well designed, however need to pay attention to beginnings of mould build up. Plus make your way the short walk to Little Beach Boathouse cafe for a vino, reasonable food and some local dolphin watching. Just love this area.

The cabins were usual traditional cabins, clean with standard bathrooms. However the amenities block was outstanding. Very clean and tidy, modern, lots of space, by far best showers I’ve experienced for sure! Would come back solely for that amenities block! Great location right on the beach was so nice to be able to go for a walk along the beach at night and not stress about a journey back to the accomodation.

One of the more expensive sites we stayed at on our trip, but still very clean and tidy. Staff extremely friendly. Amenities also fantastic. Goos location. Recommend shoal bay country Club 300m up the road for a drink/food.

Great caravan park. Amenities very modern and clean. No hassles booking and paying prior to entry. Express check in. All details emailed re access code, amenities code prior to arrival. Beach access across the road multiple entries onto Beach and wharf. Very reasonably priced

We love it here, express check in is perfect, park is always clean and the staff are friendly! The amenities are stunning and always kept clean highly recommend staying here!

No table inside as we find it hard when it could to seat outside.
There's shared kitchen though.

I didn't use all services so i enjoyed staying at the place.

Best holiday park we've been to on our road trip is far. Facilities were fantastic, super clean. A stones throw from the beach. Staff were really friendly too.

We booked an ensuite site here and between booking and arriving we changed the size of our van and needed a larger site. The manager switched things around for us and managed to put us in another ensuite site. Nothing seemed to be an issue! When we arrived, the ensuite was the best we have ever had.
The ammenities here (games and laundry) are modern and accept tap/apple payments so there is no more need to carry a pocket full of gold to complete your laundry!!

Sites, camp kitchen and bathrooms are amazingly clean and well maintained.

I have travelled extensively over the last eleven years with caravans and campervans. Australia has an abundance of natural beauty locations, and I have attempted to photograph some of these moments in a natural unadulterated scene.
My photos are true to form as captured. Keep in mind, you need to choose the perfect lighting to achieve lovely photos. I am staying on a powered van site in my Campervan. From my observation, all the villas are 5 out of 5 and beautifully presented. Wheelchair ♿ access is excellent. Parking is excellent for villas and powered van sites.

The big clincher for me is the 5+ star rating of your amenities blocks. A lesson for other holiday parks is they could learn a lot from the amenities of this park.

Yes, I hear you, why such a thing about the amenities? If you have travelled or are about to go adventuring for the first time then you will appreciate my enthusiasm for this topic as things can vary immensely among holiday parks as you trip around on vacation.

The beach is an 8-minute stroll across the road. Please note children will always need to be supervised when crossing this road. This location is busy.
The Whale Watching cruise is only 10 minutes away. I am booked Tuesday for another cruise to see these majestic animals. I live locally and yet this is my first vacation at this park. This location is an excellent choice if you are considering staying in the area, be it short-term or long-term.
The Port Stephens Council operates other Holiday Parks in Port Stephens as well.

Cabins are nearly new and modern and all appliances were excellent. Super clean and beds comfortable

Absolutely loved this place. With a large group booking for our sons 21st birthday they were able to cater for us. The place is very well maintained close to beach, shops, restaurants. We will definitely be coming back.

The location of the caravan park is awesome - access to Shoal beach is just across the road and the shops only half a km away.
The beach is beautiful though not patrolled - my son and I went only waist deep.

We stayed on a powered site with our two young sons and dog. The amenities were modern and very clean. The staff were lovely and obliging.

It is on the pricer end of the scale - $87 for a one night stay but I guess that is due to its popularity.

What a great place stay at Shoal Bay! The park and amenities were some of the nicest we have seen on our South East road trip! Clean, modern, peaceful, great location, easy express check in and great food options nearby - recommend the Shoal Bay Country Club and the Little Beach BoatHouse !!

In motorhome so no knowledge of cabins. Nicely spacious park. Excellent facilities. Very clean. Friendly staff

Unfortunately we were there only one night... we would have loved to stay longer. We got great service over the phone booking in and getting instructions for a late check in. The facilities block is very well designed and the nicest I've seen. Right next to the beach, the location is beautiful. Setup for either a caravan or motorhome is easy with power, fresh water and grey water onsite, and a dump point available.
